Had a productive weekend

I had a very productive weekend. I got the rims mounted on the car. Plus I had a chance to fix the crack in the 82 Z28 fiberglass hood and got it mounted also. I think it gives the car a total diffrent look. Adam :-)

!!!! Wheel weights on the outside of the rims !!!!

Go take it and get it statically balanced with the weights on the inside, don't screw up your rims!

It looks good. I love verts. Now just throw some tire gel on there. Also try using a rotary polisher with Mcguiers show car glaze. I did that to my friends g/f's mustang that had paint that was dull like yours and it actually made it shine. Hit it a couple times with it and you'll notice a difference. That way it'll look alrite til you get it repainted.
Just a temporary fix, it's by no means a permanent one.

Its hard to tell from just images, but I'm going to have to disagree. The paint itself looks decent; no big nicks, gouges, spidering, peeling, flaking, etc. From here is just appears to be very dull and oxidized.

I'd try give it a good abrasive cut polish followed by a good paint restorer/oxidation removed. Then give it a good coat with a quality wax to protect it like meguiars gold class, or mothers, etc.

It may be a honda in the attachment, but just look at how paint can be restored.

Brisks advice sounds better.

That's pretty much what the mustang looked like before and after. Except the the end result wasn't as good as what Brisk posted.
If you try it out, post pics of what it looks like afterwards.

Man that looks awesome, and it looks almost identical to mine paint/body wise, with the exception on th eaftermarket hood on mine. But if your paint is anything like mine, then yes, you are right, it is way beyond waxing.

Looks good, its hard to tell with the paint looks like the clear has either pealed off or just looks very very oxidized. None the less get a high quality buffer on there and give it a whirl! Good luck.

Thanks guys! The paint is shot. The clear is all gone. If you look at the passenger side. The door and finder are still shiny. But it is peeling. I plan on getting it redone in a blue matalic of some sort. The rims are 18x10 TT2's. They are off of a 4th gen with 2' spacers. Adam :-)

red seems to be a bad color for fading. red fades faster than any other color - so if your thinking of repainting it, changing colors would be a good idea. personally i like light colors because theyre low maintenance. (white, grey, ect) but a nice dark color would compliment the rims nicely.

Overall nice car.

That depends on if you want PERFECTION, or just real good. Static cannot obtain perfection, real close, but not perfect.

Ask any tire balancer, and they'll tell you the same thing. Sure, static is fine for most cars, mine are static balanced, and always will be.

The owner before me said it had a cheap paint job done to it. And that's why it's like that.

There static balanced. They do vibrate a little. But so do the 2 12's in the trunk. lol. So it kind of equals out. lol.

Thanks. I'm think about getting it lowered an inch. The rear looks lowered do to a full tank of gas and the 100 pound sub box.

Adam :-)
