another saved third gen....

hi all....this is my 5th third gen, this is the 2nd one to be saved by me....to start here are some pic of my other one...
the 1st,the one that make me like those car so much...black on black 86 z28

at the drag strip...14.6 with a 2 busted valves 350 from as 1976 truck not bad

thats before....when she was at a scrap yard
2nd parts car....i was wathing the ground while driving its now on the other side

3rd rustless but ugly firebird

4th nice 91 z28 fully loaded.....and rusted to death....part sell good and give me great money about 3 time the initial price of the car(1k$can) I buided a 355 for my 86 with this money

and now the last one red on red 87iroc..the previous owner drive it about 2k km in about 4year and she was dying in is backyard since about 2 years....Had to shovel about an hour to see the car

After puting in a new batery the car start on the first try....run funny but hey after bying it i drove about 200km with no problem....The car have 214k km but the body is rustless for a quebec car.
some floor pic

I dont have big project for this one since its gonna be a summer daily driver...need to get some electrical solved and routine maintenance done and the car is set for as great summer....car spec swaped l98, 9bolt diff, line lock(going on my 86) and some ugly custom on the dash disapering soon.

sorry for the long post and a lot of picture....I will maybe post more pic tomorow of my new ride

sorry if i post this at the wrong place but i think its aperance related

If you have any comment feel free
Thanks

Seb

I'm always glad to see a thirdgen saved from the depths of hell. Maybe someday I'll be able to do the same.

Kudos.

The firebird is only but ugly because of the color, and the grill is paint. Im sorry but i just have to defend an early bird.

i think its original since my door panel are starting to tear apart....and the driver seat show 200k km of use....If my black one became a track only car I will swap the black int from it...this one is really clean....came from my 91 z28

Wow, as if the interior wasn't red enough, it has red-faced gauges too. Never seen those before.

Spike-z je fait de mon mieu....mais ca coute cher, jai vue ton projet cé ***é malade....cette anné si jai les moyen ma essayé de leur refaire une beauté

Firebird 383 those red faced guauge are custom made by the ex owner and not great looking in my opinion.....fake flame and red make the dash unreadable....usefull...and if its wasnt enough red even the door light are red.

Re: another saved third gen....

Remember when these cars wer a dime a dozen? Now its a big deal to see even a crap box on the road. I think its a nice car.... I would be losing that red instrument cluster also though.NICE FIND DUDE! for sitting as long as it did in North-Pole conditions it looks pretty nice, and the Interior survived well.
How much did you pay for it (American currency price)?
Another happy ending to a neglected 3rd Gen.
Good luck with it....keep us posted.

Re: another saved third gen....

about 2k$....its not that bad since up here in that shape they are in the 5k range...dont worry about the red cluster...its leaving as soon as I put it back on the road....by the way the car came with 2 brand new tire, 2 lighty use, and 4 2nd gen snowflake wheel with winter tire.
its gonna be a nice summer daily
