Who has a picture of an SS HOOD with a BILLET insert?

I found a company that manufactures these SS hoods. They guarantee fitment. They build it from scratch and I requested a billet insert and he said he can put it in while he's building the hood.

He asked me to e-mail him a picture. I remember someone had a black 91 Z28 on here is it sickness Z? Can someone show me a picture of an ss hood with the billet insert?

Im pretty sure I was the first one having a billet insert

If I remember correctly, Sickness' insert has one or two more "fins" on his - so find a pic of his also to see which way you prefer it

So I'm guessing there isn't a vendor that makes them.

The company I am dealing with right now is FiberPartsConcepts. Their website is: http://www.fiberpartsconcepts.com/

They make an SS hood with guaranteed fitment.

Here is a picture of the top and bottom.

Their contact information is below:

Fiber Concepts, Inc.
1520 Campus Drive
Unit B
Warminster, PA 18974
Phone: 215-674-8990
Fax: 215-674-8991

The guy I am speaking to is Dan. As I mentioned he said he can fabricate a billet grill and mold it into the hood during production.

Here's their description:

"As a quality manufacturer of fiberglass hoods, Fiber Parts Concepts hoods are gelcoated, three layers of hand-laid fiberglass with a black gelcoated frame pasted on. Black underlay with tapped metal inserts for your stock bolts & hinge plates.

The fit of every hood is fantastic and have been trial fitted on vehicles including hot rods. All our manufactured hoods also come ready with hardware to be bolted onto your car, then it's ready for paint. While these hoods are primarily used on show cars, they can be placed on your every day vehicle as well to add more muscle to your ride. Additionally, all hoods come with a warranty and refund policy as long as the hood has not been customized, drilled, or painted."

I'm very curious about these, as I am looking for an SS hood myself. Toxik asked the questions I'm wondering about. Thanks!

List price is $449. I'm getting one for $425.

I would assume that they can be/already are functional as they build them from scratch.

I sure hope they don't build them from scratch, they build them from a mold, same as everyone else.

From the placement of the scoop it probably won't be functional on a TPI car, same as the ASCD one. Also, from the looks of it you'll have to cut the cowl if you want that made into some sort of functional cowl hood. It seems to be identical to the ASCD SS hood, but that is a darn good price for it.

I bout a hood outta the box from a guy off the message boards and it looked just like that on top and underneath. When it came time too prep it,it needed so much bondo work it made me sick. It was super wavy and also needed trimmed because it was too wide.Look around and ask as many people as possible about there quality of hoods and where they got them

Re: Who has a picture of an SS HOOD with a BILLET insert?

I live about 15mins away from Fiber Parts Concepts. I posted a link on a local board asking if anyone used their products. If any one is interested I can give the place a call and see if I can run down there and see the hoods they have to offer.

PM me if you are interested.
