Who makes a good cowl hood?
Who makes a good cowl hood?
Looking for some feedback on J&TFiberglass hoods.
Anybody out there bought hoods from them? How have the held up? Do they have a quality product?
Thanks for your feedback.

Re: Who makes a good cowl hood?
Mine isn't. My harwood fits like a piece of crap and the fiberglass quality is "average". By that I mean that it's not as wavey as most, but it's no show piece.
On the other hand, my cousin's cervini hood is nicer than any aftermarket fiberglass hood I've ever seen. The only other fiberglass hood that I've seen that looks as good is the stock 4th gen SS hood. Once painted and installed, you'd never know it's fiberglass. The fit is perfect, and the finish is mirror smooth, with no wave or ripple at all.
Maybe the newer harwood stuff is better than mine, but I can't wait to replace mine with a Cervini.

Well I hope I can give as good a report on my soon to arrive G&T fiberglass hood as ya'll have given on the Cervini's. I checked their site and man they are pricey. I am also a believer of "You get what you pay for"

You might want to check out Glasstek, I'm very happy with the fit of mine.
Re: Who makes a good cowl hood?
I have a 3 inch cervinis on mine. I wasnt jumping up and down about the fit on it, however i'm very meticulous about things and im sure it fits better than average.
The thing I like most about this hood is the style, the cowl doesnt stop abruptly 3-5 inches before the front of the hood, it flows smoothly to a flush end at the very beginning of the hood.
Nice piece, and comes with a clean/quality screen in the cowl.

Cervini all the way, Nice 84. Looks super sharp.
I say Cervini all the way. There are a lot of threads about people not knowing which one to go with. I would know I started like 3 of them.
Here is my car. It is not done yet, but it is drivable and painted.
The hood fitment was perfect the body guy said. He also made a point to tell me that he has never seen a hood fit that close to perfet right out of the box.
Great product and YES, you get what you pay for.

Re: Who makes a good cowl hood?
not a fan of fiberglass, i tend to like tougher things and dont care about weight, if i did, my first step to weight reduction would be to lose 50 lbs,
but i went with a steel goodmark hood and have no complaints, its on summit.
