My 3rd Gen is gone..sniff

Hi guys/gals,

I have been posting here for awhile and well I am very disappointed to say that my camaro will be no more. I was in a serious accident yesterday and it looks basically totalled. It is still drivable but very loose and noises coming from everywhere.

At least the ******* SAAB driver had his car completly destroyed. He rear ended me on the FDR drive at 9am. It was a 6 car pile up.
Well to everyone who has helped me out in the past, THANKS for your help I always appreciated it.

I will still be here to have some fun, who knows maybe my new ride will be a 2002 z28.

Talk to you guys later.

Sincerely,

John

this is exactly why my firebird is going to sit in storage for the summer. i am so afraid of someone hitting it up especially after all the time/money that went into it..I also agree, everyone and thier brother has a 4th gen, get a 3rd gen and be different...

Fake whiplash...it's sweet. It can't be proven or disproven by doctors, and is a common injury when rear-ended (wonder how I know so much about this? =P). You'll get an extra couple grand in addition to the money for the totalled car, more if you ride it out longer and say it affects your work, social life, ect. Then go out, buy a sweet thirdgen, and mod it to all hell.

Do you have pics? Love to see carnage.

Third gens especially crumble in accidents. Just look at my site to see a great one.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I live on Long Island too. Where on the island do you live? I live in suffolk county. Well any way, I was wondering if you are going to sell any of the left over parts from your car. I am willing to come see what you have left. I am sorry if you get offended since Im asking you. I dont mean to be nervy, but just trying to see if you want to make some money off of that misfortune. Let me know, email me at jimbo1184@hotmail.com. Once again, sorry to hear about the accident, and I hope you are alright.

I will let you guys know what I am going to do with it after the insurance co. hands me a check for it.

The car really doesn't look that bad from far, but when you get close........you can tell the car needs alot of work to make it perfect again the way it was.
Passenger side door doesn't close that easy anymore, needs a whole new front end and rear bumber. I will get some pics developed and post them to a site and give you guys the URL.

Talk to you later,

John

Sorry to hear about your car.
My old camaro was totaled by an old asian guy doing a u-turn right in front of me,but with the insurance money I got to buy a much much nicer Trans Am.
Maybe it'll work out for you.

No they totalled it and then I sold it. I sold it for parts...but I think the people that bought it, did so for a daily driver. I saw it a few times around the neighborhood but not in a long time. It was fixable if you had the time and the money. I def. miss it and have been thinking about buying another ThirdGen Camaro or Firebird.

I currently own a 2000 Camaro SS in Pewter Metallic with Chrome Z06 wheels.
And maybe soon a another 3rd Gen, I was looking on Ebay and it's al crap

Strange, usually the low-life bottom feeders driving swedish cars are driving Volvos.

Its pretty easy to spot the people who just read the first post and then reply. This post was years ago and people are still saying sorry about the accident. If you're after post count, at least read the threads.

Anyway, I'm locking this cause its not A&D related. Sorry man, hopefully you find a new thirdgen
