Found this on the internet, interesting project similar to many on here, except for the rear wing.

Looks like a good project. But with all that work I wouldn't put C5 Wagon Wheels and a wing on it. IMHO.

I hate corvette/4th gen wheels on 3rd gens, it RARELY looks good. SOmetimes it does, but usually it doesn't.

Cheese and Rice! Could they have picked a goofier looking color combination?
Re: automotivearticles.com Project 3rd Gen.
The color combo isn't that bad and its only 2 colors. I think the rims need a chrome lip. They remind me of black painted wheels that don't have a chrome lip. Maybe the chrome lip would help.

I applaud the effort, but the kid should have destroyed a civic and not a 3rd gen. Ditch the fairy wing and the rudolph rims and it would be very presentable.

Re: automotivearticles.com Project 3rd Gen.
also what is it about black and red combo that people seem to think is so menacing looking? I think that red with black accents looks nice but not the other way around. You have a really bright color on top of the darkest color possible. You might as well do neon green and black. Dont get me wrong, i think the people who use black/red tastefully and with very little red accents can look nice but most of the time people go WAY overboard and start painting their air vents red...etc. And it just gets uglier from there

Looks aside, it is a great performer with a lot of mods to pretty much every area. Nobody when I was 17 and in highschool could afford to do something like that!!!!!! But we only came from the middleclass part of town.
I realize he probably had a lot of help from his dad.
I found this halarious . . .
Unsuspecting!?!?!?!
Here's a challenge to everyone. Can you see anything in these pics that would give an unsespecting import owner any clue that this isn't your average '82 Trans Am? . . .

They'll never see it coming!!!!

. . . make no mistake, this Bird was bred to prey upon the unsuspecting imports of his peers.

I'm not a fan of that. I see cars on this site everyday that are far more deserving of a feature in High Performance Pontiac!

Re: automotivearticles.com Project 3rd Gen.
kinda like putting a thousand air vents on imports to make them look like lemans and GT cars when they only have 100 hp and .5 tq
Re: automotivearticles.com Project 3rd Gen.
I remember him being on here too, Yes it is ugly as sin and a total Ricee bucket but I give the kid credit for all the work. When youre 17 you dont really know what youre doing when it comes to cars. I bet in a few years he will wise up and be like "what the hell was I thinking?"

Re: automotivearticles.com Project 3rd Gen.
I saw that car in person a few years back at the Car Craft Magazine Summer Nationals here in St. Paul,MN. In person other than the wheels and wing, it was a very nicely done car.
