How do I wash my REALLY dusty car?
So I've been working on my car the last 3 years in my garage and It is extremely dusty. I was going to roll it out sometime in the near future and wash it. How do I go about washing it without scratching the paint? The paint is still in good condition and I really dont want to scratch it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

power wash it off or hose it off to get anything that may be abrasive off of the paint

People on here have said before to just go lightly over it with water until the dust comes off. Worst case scenario is you'd have to buff it, right? It could probably use it anyway, so just wash it

And don't get to close with it. Let the volume of water carry as much of the dust away as possible, not the pressure. Then get slightly closer for the stubborn areas.

I would just use a hose with a decent spray nozle. If you are really worried about sratches I would stay away from the power washer. It may do more harm than good. Might as well take it a step farther and wash it from top to bottom with a good car soap and water using a good washpad then dry it with good dry product such as a chamois or whatever you prefer. Good luck.
