I am torn as to whether or not this would look good... What do you guys think?

Im leaning towards no, but I love gold IROCs with black, white, and maroon cars...

 

how about 91-92 Z28 wheels....

 

I think it would look ok, but dark silver or black would look alot better in my opinion. I'm sure somebody on this site has this combo so we'll see if they can post some pics.

 

I think it would look great if done correctly.

 

Do a search for Abubaca's car..stock '89 iroc paint scheme of red on gold. The two colors can deffinitely look good together but you have to remember that his car has the stripes, etc to compliment the look.

 

Gold on an IROC of any color just doesn't Jive. Look in ma Gallery, I am sure you will find atleast one or two of them in their.

Here are pics of gold IROC's on my 92 RS 25th Anniversary. I get lot's of compliments on these rims. I also have some polished gold Z28's that look good too.








I say if you like them put them on your car. No one can decide what you like but you.

 

I like the gold on my maroon, even though it came with silvers from the factory. Plan to have them media blasted and powder coated. Gonna get them powdered gold where they're gold, then polish and clear powder, or something. Money focused on paint and theft repair, currently.

 

Don't think gold rims with bright red will look right............

I would be curious to see an aftermarket set of 17-18" irocs painted in this gold theme.

 

i have got gold iroc-z on my ground effects does this mean I have to have black and gold strips and gold decal on the door? i bought the car with no decals on it.

 

Saw this car at a local show in Florida. Looks real clean. But I think only gold rims should be put on if the interior is tan. Other wize it looks funny to me.



Then if you want to get real fancy. Put some bright gold rims on your car. Saw this at the local hospital. It didn't look bad at all really.

I too have debated this (the stripes, not the decal) and at this point I am not doing it but I will photoshop it beforehand. Just to see if I like it before committing.

 

Great point about the tan interior. That was actually the clincher for me. I need to get my new motor built anyway.

And not to mention I've already got a couple of polished 91-92 wheels waiting to get some rubber anyway. The wheels that come off are gonna get the same treatment so I'll eventually have 4 polished ones. Just love the gold IROCs! But not with a bright red car with gray interior. Just dont look right.

 

I got 4 of these sitting in the garage already polished and waiting on some new rubber. I plan on putting them on next month.

 

At first I sure it would look OK...until I saw these 2 pics....Not for me....Go with what YOU like though.
