I need help figuring out if this car is a Firehawk or not.
I picked up a 91 Bird for $300
It has Firehawk stickers on the front and rear bumpers, now the car has been re-painted so they could have just been added, so I have no idea to be honest.
I don't have very good pictures, but here are the pictures that I do have:

I am also having problems getting the VIN to match up with anything, the first 4 work and that's it. All that those are telling me is that it was a base model car, and one also said that it was a 350 car.
Base model seems to be weird though, as the car has power windows, mirrors, and locks.. cargo shade in the rear, pull down motor... (no idea if those were options)
Actual mileage is unknown as it has been rolled back or something.. the number is all sorts of messed up.
Edit: Added picture of rear.

From looking around, I am not so sure.. the markings are in the right place it seems.. I'm lost.
I seen somewhere that there were only 25 Firehawks made? Was that in 1992, or?
I saw some pictures of a white Bird with the same Firehawk stickers mine has, even the same hood..
If this is a true Firehawk I will be pissed that the mileage is wrong and the engine is gone. Oh, also forgot to mention it has a disc rear, no idea what gear. 700r4 tranni as well.
Also, that's not the original spoiler, there are holes from where it looked like it had a wrap around style spoiler that was removed for that ugly one on there now. The white Bird with the Firehawk stickers had that wrap around spoiler, so...

But if it's a base model why are there so many power accessories in the interior, along with the cup holder on the passenger door?

I re read what you had posted it could be a formula since you said it might have had a wrap around spoiler on it before.

Re: I need help figuring out if this car is a Firehawk or not.
First off, its not a 91 unless someone changed the front and rear bumpers. Your car has the 90 and older ones, 91-92 are completely different. The chances of that being a real firehawk are almost non-existent. Im pretty sure that all the real firehawks are accounted for. It also has the wrong rims. Finally Firehawks had the firehawk decal in yellow on the sides of the doors, not on the front & rear bumper. To figure out if your car had a 350 originally the 8th digit of the VIN would be an 8. The 10th digit will tell you the year. A 1991 model's 10th digit would be M, yours is probably F (85), G (86), H (87), J (88), K(89) or L (90).
Here is what my 91 formula looks like for comparison.

no way thats a hawk, it would have logo's on the interior also, slp exhaust and lots of other visible sings of being a firehawk.. not to mention its not a 91/92

My guess would be that it is a 90. It has an airbag and what looks like the revised interior, but the old body style. Seems to be a Formy if it has the 350 and the base model VIN code. If you posted everything but the last 5 numbers of the VIN we'd be able to tell you more precisely what the VIN says about the car.
Not a Firehawk, though.

Based on your photos it looks like a '90 V6 car. But that's beside the point because whatever it once was, obviously it is no more.
Today it's a $300 car you towed home to make into whatever you want. So have fun with your creation and keep us posted on your progress.

But, I fell in love with the look of it. I want GTA cladding with the same paint scheme.
If I can get a title, and extra cash flow.. I think it's going to turn into a drag/street car setup for me and my friend.. going to make it a project for both of us.

X10 on no way its a hawk. Wouldve been a 6-speed and the console is unique to accomidate it. Other than the afformentioned ques its not a hawk. Good news is you bought a $300 Hood with a car under it =)
The AirBag indicates a 90-92, the doors with cupholders indicate a 91-92, the bumpers are up to 90, even a base car can have options ot T-tops even a V8. Ive seen 305TBIs with no power and a 2.8 with everything availible. Base just means its not a TA, GTA or Formula.

Re: I need help figuring out if this car is a Firehawk or not.
Firehawks were 91/92 models, most came with 350's and were equiped with 6 speed trans.
Your car looks to me like V8 90 firebird, the options you mentioned were pretty commom on base birds.

Try to find the RPO sticker in it. If it is a 90 like mine, it should be in the center conslole.
