I have a problem, please help....

I'm doing the complete Zaino thing and I came across a small problem. I went over my hood with some 3M fine cut rubbing compound to get rid of all the swirls, the I applied a couple of coats of Z-5 polishing compound. The are about 10 or so small little tiny imperfections in my hood where over the years small rocks made chips in the paint, the rubbing comound which is brown, filled in these little specs and now I have nice little brown specs on my hood!!! What do I do????

Try washing what off, the specs??? It's not something that will just wash off, these are tiny micro specs in the paint that are actually in the paint surface now. I'm wondering maybe if there is a was to color over them with one of those color sticks or something....

What has happened is that the paint got chipped down to the primer, and that is what is showing. You'll need to have these touched up. If you don't know how, have some one that does do it.

You may want to try Turtle Wax Color Cure. On dark vehicles it works well.

That's what I was thinking. It's not even really in the paint, just in small nics in the clearcoat. I was going to try buffing them smooth but I might go through the clear doing it so I'm not doing that.

Yeah but the holes the specs are in are so small and in the surface it's self that didn't work. I thinking might be able to dig the stuff out with a needle, if not just color in the specs with that little crayon that comes with that scratch remover and then polish over it. Oh well.....this sucks I'll try using the clay bar in a circle motion in the same spot this time and see if that works.
