Wheel Opinion on 85 coupe

I have an 85 coupe i just got my rear disc brake 9 bolt installed. So i have what, 4 wheel disc brakes. NICE. I wasnt in to it until about a year ago, but i want to go with 18"s no bigger maybe smaller. I love the torque thrust II's but i cant afford $300 a wheel. So i found these KMC 820 SS in black they are $350 each but i get a better discount on this brand then AR, well actually about $150 plus tax each. look at chrome to they look identical to the AR wheels. These wheels have a killer dished lip on them. I dont have a price on the other whell but its a AR rebel.
So who likes them, imagine on a camaro of course with disc's. Im looking for anyone really with big wheels on there car already. Pics would be nice to and opinions.

Re: Wheel Opinion on 85 coupe

IMO none of those wheels work with your car...sorry try again. I am real fussy when it comes to cars though and have certian taste but here is where I am comming from. A sport coupe is probably the hardest to pick a good looking wheel for because of no ground effects. There for I think the only way they look good is setup like a drag car with fat tires in the back and skinny tires in the front...first thing that comes to mind is prostars.

Re: Wheel Opinion on 85 coupe

I do like the wheels and they do fit they are 0 offset and 5x4.75 ive been doing wheels and tires for 3 years just enough to know what fits. But the rebel wheels is for the Positive offset new vettes and fbodys.
I do like prostars but have to show off the brakes and im trying to fit in to the BIG WHEEL decade. The pic may not be the one for my car but they do have the 0 offset for it.
As far as ground effects i have some but not going on it. everyone puts them on the coupes and its a coupe not an rs or z. but without the effects it just shows the fat tires. you know what i mean

Re: Wheel Opinion on 85 coupe

I got the IROC rims on my SC with the single line painted black. They are a lot cheaper than aftermarket rims and I like how they look, check out my car domian.

Re: Wheel Opinion on 85 coupe

Those whels look pretty good but im getting the car painted in a few months and its 2 tone black on bottom original blue on tope. The black wheels i think would set it off especially with my new 1LE swap disc swap with 12" rotors. But yours does look sweet a little bit to much red pin stripping for me. but looks great other wise. VERY Clean interior.

Even the PBR's, and especially the OE fronts, are going to look puny under 18's, IMO, but the only opinion that counts is yours.
