Nice car yellowiroc, its sweet, the wheels look great, did you redo them?,the big deal about yellow irocs is that they are pretty rare, especially ones in good condition, yellowirocs car looks pretty original paint wise, they only made a 1000 in 86,about 500 or less are left i would believe,i have seen quite a few wrecked ones.

hey rare-roc, your friend used to own that car? Maybe you can tell me if those are monte carlo center caps. I have been wondering if they will fit because they would look good on my car.

They sort of look like the 94-96 Impala SS center caps with a bowtie, of course.

YES they are monte carlo center caps. i used to have a 99 monte and i had a guy ask if he could borrow a center cap for a few seconds to see if it would fit, and i let him, IT FIT. then he asked if he could buy mine for $25, i told him no. but then i saw him later and he said he litigated a set, but luckily they werent from my car.

oh well. my next door neighbor has a 1992 Z28 red with Z wheels and we got him a set for his car, cant say from where, but it was a "JUNKYARD". so there is your answer!!

thanks man, i am in the process of looking for a set too, it would be so easy to just walk up and take a set from someone, but man, imagine if that was your car and your centercaps got stolen....it sure would **** me off.

I guess your best bet is to just go to a tire place and get them, they cant be all that expensive,i agree that i would be pissed if i found my car capless,i lost my caps from them being cheap plastic and falling off so i got a good set after a year of searching and now they look great.

True,i did want to know about yellow irocs, most people dont realize that these cars are rare,it can be a firebird or iroc,i dont care as they are all rare,i just think people will realize when these cars are looked at as collectors items, people take thirdgens for granted but they are quickly becoming deceased so if your thirdgen is rare or even in A-1 shape then keep it that way,one day it will be worth more then you think.

If it was a copper iroc then it was one of a few that were made,i believe in 86 there were 2 made in that color, now that is rare.

I too own a yellow Camaro. It seems like everyone (myself being no exception) who owns a yellow thirdgen, becomes almost obsessive over the color of the car. I for one started wearing a lot more yellow, as well as color-coordinating accessories on the car. I buy almost exclusively yellow lighters. Whenever I have to choose a color for a board game pawn or something, it's always yellow. On Valentine's Day I even bought my girlfriend yellow lingerie. It's probably gotten to the point where I should seek counseling. You're right though, they are kinda rare. Your car gets more of a reputation around your town too because it sticks out like a sore thumb, and it sticks in people's heads because they're uncommon. A lot of times you meet people, or talk about your car to an auto parts store or junkyard employee, and you tell them it's yellow and they say "oh yeah I've seen that around". Here's some pics of mine...one with it's factory canary yellow paint, and another with it's new shade of "Chrome Yellow", (same as MeanYellowZ's and most late model yellow Mustangs).

thanks for the compliment... I think the taillight on yellow camaros need covered or else it looks goddy. It sucks having to take them off everytime I go in somewhere over half an hour so they won't get stolen. I've had 3 pairs stolen. Just once I'd like to catch the person in the act.

I had a pair stolen myself....it sucks because they're really expensive. The cheapest I've found is $64.99 at Autozone. Hey....I've been thinking for a LONG time about starting up a webpage devoted exclusively to yellow thirdgens. Would anybody else be interested in doing this, or at least contributing some pics? I found this page recently and nearly vomited. I think we need to take a stand...Yellow Mustang Registry

Excellent...domain names are hella cheap now too, so it would be pretty cheap to get underway. So many foolish things get their own website, clearly the legacy of the yellow thirdgen needs it's claim to fame as well. Hell, even NAMBLA has a website. I suggest we have a cool front page with a nice graphic, and some info on rarity, production numbers, etc. Then perhaps a little rant about how a yellow f-body is hands down the coolest car out there. Then each yellow car should have a page devoted to it. Year, model, features, mods, info on the owner, etc. I think it should focus on yellow Camaros, but have a section devoted to Firebirds as well. There's just so few yellow firebirds that there would scarcely be any to include. What do you think of www.yellowcamaro.org?

I think the pic on the homepage should either change every month or so, be an animated gif that rotates pictures of several cars, or be a group photo of several yellow camaros. That reminds me, I have a rare pic containing 2, yes 2 yellow Camaros. It's not a very good pic though. The angle isn't great, and my car is kinda dirty and the rims are covered in brake dust. But it's still a cool pic on principle. I wouldn't put it on the page.
Is anyone handy with HTML? I'm not bad, but I could certainly use some help.
