Getting your windows tinted when it's cold out.

Anyone ever have anything bad happen because it's cold out when they got their windows tinted? I'm thinking of getting mine done since I have the extra money... but it's cold here... It'll be in the 30's when I do it. Having someone do it for me if that helps. A professional detail shop.

I had some windows tinted in the middle of Winter a few years ago. I would imagine it would be difficult/impossible to apply tint *outside* in such temperatures, but after it is on there I don't see there being any problems. No issues here anyhow.

The only problem would be the water between the tint and the window freezeing in that temp. But that is why they usually heat the window after the tint is on with a heat gun/blow drier to evap. all the soapy water between the two. That way you dont have to wait the 3-4 days to roll down your windows, you can roll them down an hour after there tinted.

The place I've had windows tinited at works all year round and they use heat, and still tell you to wait like a WEEK to roll your windows down, but thats prob just to cover their own a$$ though. IF its a good prof shop there should be no problems with tinting when its cold.
