OK. I'll be really surprised if someone who read my thread about my accident posts here... So I'll assume you all know nothing...

On April 10th, A truck cut me off and slammed on his brakes and I attempted to swerve to avoid the hit. I avoided a front end hit and had to take a fender hit. So my passenger side fender is ding'd. It's not even considered a dent anymore... its a ding. I did a good job getting it most of the way back to it's normal shape, but I'm still not satisfied. (Come to find out the other driver never called his insurance company. I'm screwed...) The passenger side fender and both ends of the bumper are in bad shape (the paint is peeling off the drivers side - not part of the accident)

Now... I realize I have many many options to this. I'm on a really limited budget as of right now, but I am a senior in high school and I'm going to the beach for senior week May 31st - June 7th. Now... My original plan was to use the graduation to get a professional repair on it, but I began thinking... I'd really hate to drive it in a spot like that with a dent in it. I keep the car clean, but the ding still eats away at me. When you get a sports car you want to take care of it. I could see if it was a '95 Honda civic with no rims and 20 different colors because of the pieces being replaced. I really want it to look nice and I was hoping you guys could give me some options to chose from. Again, I'm really limited on the budget.

First... I'd like to get some opinions on Car Bras. Does anyone consider them to be sporty? Is there one brand that would stick out better than any other. Do they look good on my particular model?

Second... Replacements... I've thought about buying 2 black fenders for each side so it didn't look completely dumb, but I don't think I can afford to have even just 1 painted. So I'd get em both black. I've even thought about taking out a loan to have it repaired, but I already have some bills to pay.

Third... Dent repair kits... Someone should give me the technical name for these. The suction cups or whatever to pop out dents. I search for them on ebay and apparently I'm not using proper wording for them.

If it's just a cover up I'd probably pay around $75, but if you can recommend really getting it well repaired I could probably pay around $150.

Let me know any ideas you guys have.

i had a friend back into me one time so i went nd bought a bra and i actually thought the bra looked better on the car but it did cost $100. everyone has there opinions on the Bras but if you put it on right it looks pretty good.

First I sorry about the accident,you are lucky there was not more damage or anyone was hurt. I would try too contact the other party who hit your vehicle and try to resolve the problem.
As for the body work I would have to see the damage for a better idea on how severe it is.You want to make sure there is no inner structural damage that can not be seen.If not repaired properly it can cause problems in the future.Have a professional repair facility look at it and do the work.
In the meen time you can buy a bra but they do scratch the paint if not cared for correctly.You are just hiding the damage and if someone else was too hit your car again the damage could be much more severe and your safety would be compromised.
As for the small ding the process to pop it out is called PDR. Paintless Dent Removal.This is a very cost effective way to fix dents.The suction cups do not work well.A professional will have the right tools to fix,as long as paint is not cracked.
By not doing a job the right way the first time, may cost you in the future.

I have a bra on my car, I like it. Also I got it free...hehehe. My car is black so it matches pretty well. Its a Colgan bra, its pretty pricey I think.Heres a few pics.

Have you considered replacing the fender? It might be a bit hard to find, but you could probably find another fender with same paint code (yeah, I know, it won't quite match) from a junkyard or someone here. People don't seem to charge very much for the fenders really.

You guys are very helpful. Yeah a colgan bra wouldn't look bad on my car at all. Its red primary, black secondary. Would suit it well in my opinion.. Now to post in the wanted parts section for a colgan bra. I'm off! Thanks guys.

If you're just going to fix the dent anyways, I wouln't waste "band aid" money on a bra, unless you plan to KEEP the bra on afterwards, even after the dent is fixed, or just not fix the dent at all.

I'm moments away from ordering a Colgan bra, but I don't want the plastic in the parking light area. Hopefully they have one without them. If they don't i'll have to cut them out.
