zman, sweet car, one of my favorite color combos. Doesn't annoy anyone else when you see a 1992 camaro listed for sale and they say it is a "25th anniversary edition" when you know everyone else's 92 is the same way. I can see it as special edition when it has the heritage stripes, but when I call on one of these cars and the owner makes it sound like some limited edition car, it just bothers me (sorry, I am venting because a 92 covertible owner turned down my offer because he thinks his car is special edition)

Yes, I thought that was stupid too. I remember when I was looking for my 91/92 there was always people who assumed because it was 25th year that they would up the price around 2K or more. I remember seeing a 111k mile 92 with fading going for 8500$ I ended up getting a 126k for 4000$. Lots of miles, but damn, I couldn't find a 350 91/92Z that had less miles than 100K that didn't want 9 grand.

91/92 RS's didn't have the luvers(sp?) on the hood? Only the Z's?

The Heritage editions (ones with stripes) are the ones that are going to be worth something in the long run. The others are really just 91's with 25th Ann. badging.

How did your buddy with the 92 z with 8700 miles paint the foglight area red? I really like the way it looks. It makes the foglights look like they are floating!!!

You and your buddy have some awesome looking red z28's!!!!

91z,

Well, I picked up my 92 z last night and mine has the blacked out fog light area. Your friends has the red.

Were some heritage 92 z's come with the black grill areas and some colot matched?

I know that all purple haze and polo green heritage camaros had the grills stay black (since those colors came later in 92) while the red and white Z03 camaros had them painted to match their color.

Maybe the previous owned of my z changed the grill from red to black???

Any info would be appreciated. Here is my link to my z:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=589066081

Thanks!!!

According to the Camaro white book
"The 1992 model markedCamaro's 25th anniversary. All 1992 Camaros had 25th anniversary emblems on their instrumentpanels. An exterior appearance option called the Heritage Package(RPO Z03)included hood and deck stripes,a body colored grille, black headlamp pockets, and a special decklid badge." I guess some thing must of happened to your Z's original grille and he put a black one on.If it is not shiney than it is used.Oh,as for the transmission yo can see in the pics that it is an automatic.

It was a typo the owner put. It is automatic and I love it. Detailed the car yesterday, changed the oil and serpentine belt and flushed the radiator today.

As for the grill, mine is shiny and has never been wrecked.

Maybe mine came from the factory like that or it was changed sometime.

I will sometime get underneath to see if the orignal clips/bolts are still intact.

Thanks for all the info from everybody!!!

There is a sweet 92 RS with the purple haze Heritage package with under 3k miles for sale in I believe New York area. It had all options, paperwork but the guy is asking $15k. High for me for an RS. Maybe a 92 z28 with those low miles can get $15k but not an RS.

Though, it is a sweet looking 92 heritage camaro, though.

I have figured out to add pics directly but I do have about 7 pics of this 92 RS if you would like to see it!!!
