whats the average price for tinting a thirdgen?

I talking about doing the back hatch and side windows. What would be a good price to get. I am going to go get an estimate at my local tint place to see how much it would cost to do 5% in the back and 35% on the side.

I've had one hatch done for $100 (great job)

I've also gotten an estimate at a reputable place for $150 for both sides and a hatch. It seems semi-low to me but still ok, I guess I'd pay up to $175 for all three.

I've gotten prices from $135 to $225, and it's always the same. They are only charging about 35 bones for the side windows teh rest is for the hatch glass.

My car was tinted when I bought it but someone had screwed it up. So I just got an estimate today to retint it. He said $200 but that is to remove the old tint and then retint it on the sides and hatch. We'll see how good a job he does on Friday!

Well I got my car back from the tint guy today. It looks good. He charged me $200 to remove the old tint which is a PITA and to retint the sides and the hatch with 35%. I'll post pics soon.

A local place quoted me 160 for all four windows, that seems pretty good to me.

Are side window tints illegal in any of your guy's states? They are here in NJ but I want 35% anyways....but I wanted to know if anyone has had problems, if I'll get pulled over a lot, then forget it...

In long island, NY i havebeen to several places and everywhere i have been the prices have been 200-250, which i find a little ridiculous. I am just gonna wait till restore most of the car later, after my first or second year of college.

There is a place in Mesquite, close to where I live and they want $109 for limo on the hatch and 35% on the sides. My dad got his suburban tinted there abotu 5 years ago and the tint still looks great! no bubbles or anything.

buddman91rs, I have trouble seeing out my hatchback at night when there are no security lights around. Makes it a little difficult to back down narrow country driveways but it's not that bad. I think it's only 15% too.

Bahamut, i got pulled over recently in NJ and the cop said nothing about my headlight covers or the fact that my license plate was in my winshield

do you have power windows???

if so, just roll em down before the cop comes to your car in the event you do get pulled over

i payed $150 for 5% on my back window and it looks liks ish, so bad i got it redone twice now and its going in for a third time, and the freeking wrecked all my defroster lines peeling off the old tint. its hard as hell to see out the back windows and back up at night. and here in a little town the tint shop wants $50 a side for tint but im trying to find someone that will do it for me for like $50 a pair...

It cost me $175 for 35% on the sides and 25% on the hatch. I have no problems seeing at night, and it made a huge difference in how cool my car is. Also, I don't get blinded by cars riding behind me at night
