Center bolt valve cover time

I have some stock covers for now and the only reason im going to a different set is for looks. Maybe some clearance for a cam and rockers later on

Re: Center bolt valve cover time

Those should work great! They look nice. I am going to use Edelbrock Elite Series center bolts for my RHS heads with 2.02/1.60 valves with 1.6 roller rockers and an 8-304-8 Comp Cam. Those Edlebrocks are essentially stock height and shouldn't be an issue with clearance. Yours shouldn't be an issue either.

Good luck and let's see those pics when you're done!

Re: Center bolt valve cover time

since those have no "recess" from the mounting flange I would measure for clearance issues. Stock covers are recessed back from the mounting as to help clear accessories in front and along the intake as well.

I would take a regular wooden ruler and hold it on the inside lip (intake side) of the valve cover and see if it clears your linkages on both sides and then take the ruler and place it at the front of the valve cover mounting lip and see if it clears the alternator and the a/c. The thickness of the ruler will let you know if you have enough space/clearance.

I am not too sure if they will be too high or not.

Re: Center bolt valve cover time

never measured em... but id say 4"-4.5"

and they have no clearance problems at all.
