It's nothing special, a whopping 325Bhp.

If GM is only making 3,000 of them why not through in an LS6 that puts out around 400Bhp?...

Damn these people that are in love with these ****ing SUV's. I hate GM with a passion for cancelling the Camaro and especially the Firebird.

"Camaro was an image car for Chevrolet, but that image appeal has transitioned to sport-utility vehicles" - screw you GM!!! I will NEVER buy a GM SUV as long as I live now that I know its responsible for the death of the F-Body.

I've been dreaming of buying a nice 05-06 WS6 when I graduate college, but now I'll end up getting another used TA, or god forbid a Stang!

If I ever see the CEO of GM in person I would nail him right in the teeth, I swear, and if I ever see anybody driving one of these "Borregos" I will get out of my TA and do the same to them.

Sorry for the long rant, but that is really how I feel and now I ahve to go find GM's CEO...

also, gm wonders why the hell sales are down for the f-body. well la-ti-friggin-da. if gm used .00001% of it's brain, they'd advertise them. i can just about guarantee that if you were to turn on the tv at any given time to any random channel, within 15 minutes, you'd see a rustang ad. i can only remember seeing one ad for the camaro, and that was years ago. i don't think i've ever seen a firebird commercial.

I agree it is bull**** that chevy would kill off the camaro\firebird having owened a few 4 gen LT1's they are great cars.Oh well I guess Ford will DOMINATE yet another vehicle line just add the mustang to the best selling vehicles list along with the F150,Exploder,and the Tarass.Ya no GM as no
one to blame for their lack of sales execpt themselves,(how did ford manage to sell 220,000+ mustangs for 2000) Its the only vehicle in their line up of everyday boring old lady grocery getters that has any personality making it the black sheep,off with its head and they think killing off Oldsmobile is going to help! Also I heard that the main reason their killing it is because by 2003-04 its govt. mandated that all vehicles have side impact air bags and it would be to costly to redesign the ****pit to acomadate them. Yea, GM is gay for canceling the F-Body. And if they roll out one more fugly SUV prototype im gonna puke. I cant wait till that front wheel drive POS pickup comes out, which is supposed to be chevy's new performance vehicle. I too think the striping and the fact that GM is cutting out Camaro's is retarded. But for you guys to sit here and threaten the CEO that you are going to kick his *** because of this, is just as bad as them killing the Camaro.

Come on guys, GM is the f'n company who brought us our cars, and at that fact some of the best American cars ever made. Poor sales of the Camaro are because Ford makes their cars pretty damn cheap (rebates), and knows how to market to woman.

It's a sad year, but it's also sad to hear comments about GM like this. Always remember they brought us the Camaro and Vettes and F*ck those cars are the ****...

I am not pissed off at GM for wanting to amke money, I am pissed becasue instead of marketing, redesigning, and putting some effort into the F-Body, they just dump it. It seems like the Camaro was the Vette's smaller brother getting all the hand-me-downs and once its popularity decreased, GM just kiled it off. And instead they come out with another SUV to fill the gap between small-midsize and the midsize SUV in their lineup. Just restarded if you ask me.

I don't like the new maangement of GM, in the past they made good cars ubt now they jsut make trucks and SUV's, and 00, I'm not sitting on my *** I am trying to find the CEO's adress as we speak

Ever since the late 80's early 90's GM has adopted a "brand management' philosophy, wherein each division would take on a "personality" or "identity". Chevrolet's chosen "identity" was that of the "family" division.

Why do you think Chevy had a minivan (Astro) before any other division did? They also had the first small SUV (S-10 Blazer) among the GM ranks. (Granted the S-10 Blazer was shared with GMC because it was still considered a truck at the time)

Performance vehicles do not fit into the "family" scheme of things. Yet Chevrolet will be total hypocrites and cash in on the heritage of its performance past. The entire division has become a mere shell, a bastardization, of the name Chevrolet. With their front drive, and sometimes four door SS models.

With the exception of three models (the Corvette, and two f-bodies) GM, IMHO, has never recovered from the energy crisis of the late 70's. They have been a very conservative and "safe" carmaker ever since.

So if/when the Camaro/Firebird make their return expect some bastardized version of these once fine cars. I wouldn't put it past GM to bring it back as a front driver.

Of course this is all just my opinion, just had to get it off my chest.

I always thought that the camaro was one of those models where it was all about the history/heritage!!! Look at ferrari - they go about their business, always trying to make a better car for the next year - while GfreakinM wants to plz the families with 10 kids!!! GM might as well get into real estate!!! Ferrari dont care how many ppl buy their cars - GM should put some money down into redesigning - and let the ppl decide - ITS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT MASS SALES!!!

This is just sick - and the point made above about advertising - i have never seen a camaro add!!! And there is always same gay add about a rustang with rebates from a $1000 to the salesmans *** !!! Referring to the crackhead who said "no we dont have any camaros at the moment - but we have some mustangs if youre interested"!!! Should have told him then - "does your mum come in black leather with the mustang"!!!

When i graduated from college - i always wanted to buy myself the meanest camaro - brand new - the way i wanted it - but from the looks of things ill have to settle for someone elses taste!!! And start the appearence mods story all over again!!!
