Which color should I paint my 87 IROC?

So, I've come into some money, and now's time to finally fix up the exterior of this poor wounded soldier. There are no exterior mods, and I like it that way. The most I might ever do is a cowl hood, but not right now, as it's useless with TPI.

Now, I'm gonna have the headlight buckets, hood louvers, hatch louvers, and T-Top trim painted flat/trim black with every color I'm thinking about, unless I get the car painted matte black, which then I will have them painted gloss black for contrast.

Also, any advice on decal/badge/wheel coloring? It's getting all of the factory badges back on (5.7 Tuned Port Injection, Tuned Port Injection on the under door GFX, Z28 all exterior, just like stock (for an 87), with the only IROC logos being on the doors and the dash. With door-ding strip and stripe kit.)

Edit: Oh, and my car has black interior with red lights currently, but the red can change. Black isn't.

So, I'm most likely going with gloss black, but should I do decals/wheels in silver (factory) or gold (never seen it)? Does anyone have pics of a gold decal set on a black car?

My vote is for "other".Have you considered the gm Bermuda blue?It is a really sexy lookin metalliac.

I think that a hot color like that would be great on a 3rd gen.It would also compliment the gold decals.
Gloss black is hot too as that is the color my car will be since I am too lazy to paint the jambs.Good luck!

Re: Which color should I paint my 87 IROC?

I am considering respraying mine with viper or corvette red. But since this is you car and you are going to be the one driving it I would say go with what you want. What I would definitely not do is the gold wheels IMO. Never liked gold on any car and I think it makes it look tacky. Also I am not a fan of the green at all. Good luck!
