Believe me...I wish I didn't have to sell it. Unfortunately, I've been laid off, and the bills are eating me alive. The part that really sucks is that I haven't really had much time to enjoy the car either, but what can I do? Sorry, but the only way the car is going to be financed is if you get a loan and make payments to your bank.

Well, I've had about 1000 emails about my car, and it is slowly getting up there in the auction. Not real close yet, but I have hopes. There is a part of me that hopes it hits the reserve, but there is another BIG part of me that hopes it doesn't hit the reserve. If it ends up staying with me, are there any possible future mods that anyone would like to see happen?

Did you ever get 1/4 mile times?

Nope, no 1/4 mile times. I went to an 1/8 mile track, but the night I went, they were running the promods and wouldn't let street cars run. I was mad!! I did get to race a new LS1 Z28 on the way home that night and I ended up putting about 10 lengths on him, so that made me feel a little better.

CarNDrvr Did you custom make that strut-tower brace or buy it premade. It looks awesome, and I've been trying to find a decent one for a carbed car.
Also, what kind of seats are those?

I can't seem to find those seats online. Does Cerillo have a website? What model are those seats and did you have to do much in the way of mods to get them to fit?

Well, the car did not sell in the auction, but the bills are eating me alive. I have a guy that is offering me $7,000 plus his '97 Suzuki GSXR 600 in decent shape. Anyone think I should take it? How much could I get for his bike? Is anyone interested in the car or the bike if I trade for it?

Why dont you just take the car off insurance, and keep it stored somewhere???

Or, sell it to a family member who will give you money as a loan, and you can buy the car back later.

I'm just trying to help you keep the car because it is the best thirdgen i have seen, and its people like you who want to make me make my z28 more powerful

Good Luck!

Unfortunately, I NEED MONEY!!! My mortgage is due and I can't pay it. It is either no car or no house. You can see a list of everything done to my car if you click on the link and read the ad on ebay. The link is at the bottom of my first post on here.

CarNdrvr,
Have you tried using AutoTrader.com? Last year, when I was trying to sell my car, I also went on EBAY, but the reserve was never met. After that, I stuck it in AutoTrader publication, and I started to get calls all across the country, and I almost sold it for more than what I was asking for.
Good Luck man.

I have thought about it, but there is still that little voice in the back of my head that is telling me to not sell it. Unfortunately, I have to. I think I can get around $4500 for that motorcycle, which would put me up where I wanted to be as far as my selling price of the car.

I think on the seats you might have meant cerullo seats? I saw them in a super chevy magazine and they are awesome seats. their website is www.cerullo.com for that guy a few posts back that was looking for it.

So many nice cars, so little money. I hope one day i can get my camaro that nice and hopefully keep it

How much would it cost(estimate) if you were to buy a new transmission(5-speed) and an engine producing about 500 horses(after it is fully built) like CarNDrvr's.

I want to start saving up early, through my first year of college and so on

With the cost of the car, I have roughly $20,000 in it. That included converting it to a 6-speed. I saved a bunch of money in the process with the help of friends who can fabricate. The exhaust is totally fabricated, and so is the transmission cross member, along with a few brackets here and there, etc...

Well, it looks like the car will soon be gone. The guy came through on the $7000 plus his 1997 GSXR 600 motorcycle for my car. If there are any last minute offers that can beat his, feel free to let me know. I figure I can get at least $4000 for his bike, making it $11,000 in my pocket.

Well, here is the pic of the bike that he sent me. He told me that he laid the bike over at about 3mph and scratched up the left fairings. Also, someone supposedly keyd the right side fairing a little. He tells me that the left fairings can be replaced for $450 painted. It has brand new tires and around 9500 miles on it. He claims that he changed the oil every 1500 miles. It also has a Yoshimura exhaust, jet kit, and a K&N Filter. I will probably fix the paint and fairings before I sell it.
