That car looks great! Where did you get that hood and are those aftermarket ground effects?

The hood is the www.usbody.com Ram Air II hood, and those are stock ground effects for a 1988 Trans Am <ahem> just modified a bit. As for the wheels, just hold off there brother... They may look a tad out of place because they contrast so much with the darker primer. Wait until she's got a coat of pearl white paint with ghost flames - then if you still don't like it... well, errr... tough.

Steve- When are you painting it? Its been like that since I joined the boards. The wheels might look okay with pearl white. And beautiful engine.. great job.

I didn't realize you were doing pearl white with ghost flames. I planned on exactly that for my GTA, but chances are I'm going to scrap the flames. The car's going to be a daily driver and if I need to do a touch up, the flames would make it a nightmare.

Well, it'll get painted when I'm happy with the way my sealed body seams hold up. When the fine cracks stop, then we'll see. Of course it'd be nice to have the cash to get a good paint job so that'll take a while as well. I hear ya Jim on the "touch up" horror show, but ya know what? Screw it. No matter what kind of paint job I get I'll be pissed if/when it gets chipped so I'm going to do it and just be happy with it for as long as possible. I mean, really, it's a car it's meant to be driven - not have its paint coddled. Besides that, the way this engine is turning out this'll be a wild ride for a daily driver so I'll probably throttle back (pun intended) on driving it once I get another car. Make it a weekend warrior, so to speak. At least until I can get it TBI'd again.

Karps, that's a nice ride - I like the way that spoiler looks on the TA's to begin with and your hood makes it look even better. Now if you can get some clearer pix...

powermite,
the car looks great so does karps ta. But i like the look of scauffiel's better. Would I be able to remove the bumpers on a '90 ta and fit the '85 ground effects, or a year close to them?
