Need your thougths on TT2s

Some might know that Im rebuilding my GTA, going with SOM paint grey stripes..well I planed on puting 17 CCW Classics on it, painting the center to match the grey. Well I cant see spending $2500 on a set of wheels. If got too many other things I need to buy..so how about 17x11s and 17x9.5 TT2 and painting them to match the grey on the car? I know everyone has them, yes every new mustang has a similar set I know Iv heard it all..butt $1200 sounds a lot better than $2500...moneys tight right now..down the road I could get the CCWs I guess..

Re: Need your thougths on TT2s

Really think that there is a lot better looking wheels out there, that are not so "played" out. Personally I would rather save and get the wheels that I really want on the car, than spend $1200 on some temporary wheels.

I agree. They are so played out. Nice, but they are everywhere.

Unless you are just set on them, but then you wouldnt be asking us then, would you?

Re: Need your thougths on TT2s

No Im not set on them..Im just thinking of a nice wheel for under 1.6 million dollars a wheel. First I was going to get Fikse Fm10s but god damn $5000 wheels forget that..CCW next and Im parting out my car left and right so I can get them but Im running out of things to sell..next is my guns..

Dont sell your guns YET! Anyway, how about a nice set of cragers. These are 80's cars, I remember cragers were hot then. Makes the car look retro, cragers and kelly tires, can't get anymore 80's then that.

If you like that style then check out the Canyon by Cruiser Alloy.

17X9's run about $130 each.

Re: Need your thougths on TT2s

what would be a good backspacing? Like 4.5 in the rear or 5.5? What about the front?

If your gonna run a 17x8 use the 4.5 BS, and if your gonna do 17x9/9.5 use the 5.5 BS.

Again it is always best to measure your self to make sure... we all know about internet information.

Re: Need your thougths on TT2s

TT2 have a double lip, they look like a smaller rim with a huge outer rim. Plus, you supposedly can't fit 12.75" C5 brakes behind TT2's. Brakes are the best technical/performance reason to get 17" rims in the first place.

Re: Need your thougths on TT2s

I always like craigers as a kid but realized they look like *** on our cars, which is the reason I bought the TTIIs. They are similar but look a lot better. I love these wheels, I throw in a pic so you can judge how they would look on your car.

Re: Need your thougths on TT2s

I don't see TT2s on cars much around here, just mainly at car shows on the Internet. They may be played out, but they still look good. Personally I would just save up for the CCWs.

Re: Need your thougths on TT2s

IMHO i think the only wheels for camaros are the TT2s, stock double line irocs, and the IROC reps in 17". I can't wait to get my iroc reps. Even though some people say they are WAY too common, they're a good resto-mod look. And you cant beat $1200 shipped WITH tires!
