Today at work i saw a corvette callaway, which had a body kit with various modifications to the origional vette body (new front and rear bumpers, tailights, etc.) It was a 4th generation vette, but what exactly is under the hood ? i thought it might be a turbo charged tpi or somthing, can anybody tell me a little about the Corvette Callaway ?

wow...that is nuts. Some nice cars. I dont think I would want to mess with one of those. Even the callaway TA's and Camaros look pretty bad a$$.

 

hmm... maybe I'm a little off, I've always called it callaway vette... that wrong? never actually seen one.

Callaway is sorta like Shelby or Yenko. They mainly deal with Vettes, but they do some pretty kick@ss Camaros and TA's also. There is a guy in the local Vette club where I live that has a 4th gen Callaway Vette it is bad @ss. Another guy I know has a Callaway Camaro it is awesome too. The only bad thing is that a Callaway cars are too expensive.

 

This one at Carlisle involved a new body kit, wheels, complete color change to silver, and stainless cat-back.

 

As far as I recall Callaway do what Saleen now copy they buy the cars make em wild and then resell em
They made a Twin turbo Porsche 928 which made over 800hp and if I remember correctly it was either this car or THIS car...

....... that holds the top speed record for a street car

Keep in mind though that Lingenfelter built the engine 4 and drove the Sledgehammer 2 254MPH.
