86 sport coupe in the UK-10 year build!

Hi all you guys in the US!
Thought you might like to see my humble 86 camaro sport coupe that has been 10 years in the making (yeah i know, a bit long...., but kids got in the way!). I built it 95% of it, minimum professional involvement (top coats of red and the airbrushing, plus a half exhaust).

Wish I was over there with you guys in the US though!
Does this mean I have to actually drive this thing now? After 10 years? :hat: And get it mucky? NO...............
Andy.

Beautiful car! All for show?

I couldn't own anything that clean, because I'd wanna drive it, but couldn't because it would get dirty.

lookin' good...i can remember a few years ago you posting up some build pics...honestly, i liked the 14" sportcoupe wheels you had on there better for some reason...something about the slammed stance and the sportcoupe wheels that just made it look...different...

Looks great. But personally i would drive that thing. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Wat good is a car if it doesnt get driven. Just take good care of it.

Re: 86 sport coupe in the UK-10 year build!

i've seen pics of this before, and its still awesome.

You really need to lose the rear drums, for at least safety's sake.
And maybe rethink the pump to carb fuel line, looks a bit rushed. Maybe re-route it behind the alternator and across the manifold.

The level of detail is superb, inside, outside, underneath. I like it! I would also be afraid to drive it though, a rock chip would ruin my day.

Great work Andy, the time invested certainly shows. Hope to see it in the flesh sometime, will you be going to Billing in June?

Re: 86 sport coupe in the UK-10 year build!

Thanks for all the comments guys.
The car will definitely be driven, but not on some of our seriously mucky UK rainy days!
Black wheel wells? Been there, done that. But not on this car.
Hi Banker. Probably not going to Billing in June. Too far, too crowded and too much of a pain in the ***. Probably will be at Americana though.
I'm going to do a few of the smaller shows and avoid the bigger ones. Plenty of charity events though.
Hope to meet up one day though. You going to Americana?

Andy.
