There's a few things here and there that I would change up to make it all "flow" better, but I'd drive it.

Re: You WiLL NOT Be Able to ID This Thirdgen!
. I saw the car today at a cruise-in. A young fellow said that his father had built the car in Detroit about 15 years ago. IIRC, the interior was pretty much stock.
Love the car or hate it someone spent a lot of time and money on their vision. As you might imagine, gear heads were quite interested.
By the way, the car started as an 88 'Bird.

I think i just threw up in my mouth a little! While i can appreciate the work that went into it,i just don't care for the look.Just like some people shouldn't reproduce, some bodymen should just do insurance jobs and let the pros design cars.

I'm usually an advocate for creativity and "things different"...but this one... ...wow.
I too can appreciate the workmanship, but its not really pretty... maybe if it was gloss black with yellow wheels? what was under the hood?

Re: You WiLL NOT Be Able to ID This Thirdgen!
haha...
well the rear fenders look good, and the grand am tails actually look good too.
but thats about it IMO
i'd have kept the original front end.
also, the rear fenders would look better if there was a scoop in them on the leading edge.

This is one of those projects that seems great in your mind, but when you start actually building it, it looks much different. The thing is hideous, but to each his own.

I'm sorry. I just don't like it.

Looks interesting, Like it or not someone spent a lot of time to work this out, and it actually flows fairly well.
I've seen Ed Roth and George Barris creations that went way beyond this. And same thiing you liked it you didn't.

Is it just me or does that car look hard to get into. Not from the shaved door handels but i dont see a gap or seem where the back of the door would open from.Unless they just really, really got it flush it looks like you get in dukes of hazzard style.

i personally think that it would flow better if something was done to the roof to make it more, rounded, to go with the rest of the body work

Re: You WiLL NOT Be Able to ID This Thirdgen!
Great post James! You do have to admit, from a craftsmanship perspective, the bodywork and gaps, paint, etc. look well done. Somebody put a ton of time into that thing.
From a purely aesthetic standpoint, he took one of the more angular body styles every build and tried to morph a torpedo nose and tail onto it? Somebody has sniffed WAY to much bondo fumes.
