Re: Pro touring??? anyone got one?
I'm sort of aiming for one. No bags (I hate bags) but lowered, 19" wheels, bigger brakes, hopped up susp & supercharged engine w/ custom intercooling stuff, still have to paint but will get some body mods as well.

(that's the same engine, before & after, the supercharger and stuff will go on the new one)

aiming for this look w/ tall rear spoiler and 91/92 GFX

Twin_Turbo, have you ran the car with the Fays2 rear suspension setup how? How does it compare to a standard panhard bar setup? Could you notice a difference?
Now that is a great looking formula. I'm not too keen on the wheels but I really like the simpleness. Link to pictures of motor/suspension?.

82 camaro guy, I like your car. staying with the 2 tone really made it unique.
I almost like it as much as mine...almost
have to ask is the paint and body that good, or did you take a good picture?
either way, one of my favorite cars on this site.
iansane check this link out, I have not taken any suspension pics on my own yet. but hawks did some pics when they where building the car.

Kevin89formula: Thanks for the nice comments, I appreciate it. The paint is still original on my car (Car has 42k on it), I guess it is partly due to gm doing a decent job (laquer paint) and my friends camera being really nice!

Re: Pro touring??? anyone got one?
my car may qualify as pro touring I guess.... Not sure I like that term anymore. Every time someone says pro-touring I think if the bellybutton 69 camaros with LSx swaps and millions invested....

1MeanZ I would say yours qualifies as pro touring.
As much as I like to watch the high dollar builds, I have a lot more respect for those that are DIY oriented. I got no love for people who simply write a check and want the baddest toy in town in return.
IMO it's a pro touring if it has modern wheels w/ Z rated tires, has a reworked suspension and brakes, all oriented towards better handling, braking and a little in the look department.

Re: Pro touring??? anyone got one?
Thanks, it was a lot of work. Certainly not for someone who doesn't want to butcher their car. I really do like the way the car rides and handles now. So much that I've strongly considered putting a Dana 36 in my Trans Am. If I put a unit in my TA I'd do similar to what Jay Cutshaw did so I could keep my back seat and such. The increased stability, smoothness and traction over bumps and uneven pavement is shocking. Performance aside, it just makes it a nicer car because the rear end doesnt jump over when you go over a bump while turning...

82camaroguy, your car is clean, I hope mine looks that good when I'm done.
1meanZ, I would def put your car high in my list of awesome thirgens, the IRS swap is too cool, you don't see people go that far on their cars very often.
