hard water spots!!
I learned my lesson not to park my car next to the sprinklers. Its been some time now that i have been trying to remove some water spots that have gotten almost impossible to remove, i should say imposable because the area that i was able to clean up is not %100 gone! what should i use? i dont want to start experimenting with all sorts of stuff so if any one has had this problem pleas, im all ears.

Re: hard water spots!!
I have spots too. I'm going to try the Mr.Clean system, comes with a water softener.
IDK if a clay bar would remove them. So far I use a carnuba wax- seems to help somewhat.
Tuned in to hear of any good tips also!!

I am sorry to break it to you but having non treated water on your paint in the sun will cause micro etching. You only recourse is a buff job with rubbing compound to take off the tiny layer of clear coat that is etched.

Haven't tried it, but you might research the following product: Meguiar's M4716 Hard Water Spot Remover.

Re: hard water spots!!
first i would try a clay bar. then if you arnt happy use scratch remover like meguirs scratchx 2.0. i used that on my durango that the paint looked good but not entirely smooth but after using the scratch remover it looks MUCH smoother and helped take atleast 90 percent of the scratches and of the old water spots and such out. also your going need a buffer. even a cheap one will be fine. i got a 10in craftsmen buffer and helps ALOT! wish i had another smaller one for the tight spots. good luck
