Are the lights actually green? Or do the pics just make them look that way?

Switch it back. Don't give Law Enforcement any reason to pull you over. It's illegal to have any other color than clear as your license plate light. I've pulled plenty of people over for it because it usually leads to bigger things I may find in the car. I usually give warnings but then again you may catch one of us on a bad night so dont give us the opportunity. Just my advice. Plus it does look rediculous.

I plan on going to white leds. My uncle got pulled over about 6 months ago and got a ticket for not having one of the two working.

i agree that they are illegal, but i dont think there rice since im not going around say they make my car faster they just look cool and its not like my car is all done up to look fast as far as looks go its completely stock.but i did put the stock bulbs in for now since i dont think its worth the trouble since the cops harasses me enough. but i will be geting white LED's soon so it will at least light the full plate up.

I don't understand why people never want to post their license plate # on the net.
White bulbs would look better, and they're 100% legal

Re: How much trouble do u think i would get in?
I had red bulbs in my plate lights for years and never got harrassed by police....was even pulled over once or twice at night and they never said anything about them. To be honest, I actually forgot they were in there for about a year and a freind asked me why my liscense plate bulbs were red. I was like, damn, I forgot about those! LOL.
But I DO think white LEDs are cooler than colored.

Re: How much trouble do u think i would get in?
I guess if you are worried about being a cop magnet and also not being able to show off those LED's to your friends then I might suggest wiring up a switch exclusively for license plate lights so you can turn them on/off at will. Perhaps with control like that you can have the best of both worlds?
