Here's my car with the aftermarket 4th gen style wing. I bought this back when it was first developed from one of the TGO advertisers that is now long gone, but I think it's more or less the same as Hawk's.

Early base models didn't have any sort of wing/spoiler standard. It was an option.

 

You ask us and obviously you are gonna get all different perspectives. I prefer the low profile, some the higher profile, some no wing at all.... If it was me I would just keep looking on my own, make my own decision and when that decision was made final on my car I would post pics and say ""

 

My dad ordered his 82 Iron Duke new and it was spoilerless. Also had HUBCAPS hahaha.

 

I really like the Camaro highrise spoiler on 'Birds. In fact I recently aquired one that is going on my T/A (got one on my Camaro too).

 

Someone needs to make a stock 91/92 Z28 spoiler that is a little wider to make it to the edge of the quarters... that would be a nice spoiler.

I have some "borrowed pics" of that spoiler, but I never found out what it was. if it was not so far I would buy the dang thing! I'm sure shipping would kill me... canada to GA. darn thing would probably get broke!

Is that really a formula?? Looks like a firebird to me based on the flat hood. I guess it could have been swapped, but I'd never ditch a power buldge to go with a base firebird hood.

 

No it's just a v6 it was just easier to call it's a formula. I'd love a powerbulge hood.

Ahhh, ok haha. Thought it COULD have had a power buldge because the black paint made it tough to see but I didn't think it did. Clean car though!

Freind of mine had an 86 firebird with the formula wheels like you have and it was that factory electric blue color. I LOVED that car...by far one of the cleanest in my area. Wish I had money when he sold it because I would have snatched it up real quick for a daily driver.

 

I'm jealous... you have the GOOD suspension! My 84's leaves a lot to be desired

If you buy the fiberglass areo wing better make sure it is quality. I bought the hawks wing and it fit like D**k , cracked around the edge, was too short ( did not make it to the edge of the trunk and line up with the window or pem's) the mounting pem nuts pulled through the bottom, rubbed through the paint on my deck lid and caused it to rust.

Im now in the middle of repairing it for the 2nd time, But i had such a sour taste from this P.O.C. that i almost went wingless. I love the look with the areo wing better though.

Hawk's fiberglass. Light weight almost makes the hatch hard to pull down.

 

i think u should get the hawks spoiler, i think a higher model bird/camaro just look a lil odd with no spoiler
