Trying to find the member who made these...

Hey guys, i was searching some old threads reading up on some topics and i found this pic

From what i could understand a member here was making them, or knew someone making them. I would really like to find out more about it, I would take a pair!

Also, anybody know what those seats are? They look good...

I love the seats. The door sill plate looks like what I would like to get,Having GM or camaro one time with no year would do me just fine.If GM was put on them than they would work for both the firebird and camaro.Right?

Eh I wouldnt buy them if they said GM. The etching part isnt the hardest once you set up one its not that bad to do more. Camaro and Firebird and Trans Am would be the three I would make if I was that company. Maybe even one that says CAMARO IROC or CAMARO Z28.

Agreed. I am keeping an eye out for anything close to these. I wouldn't mind a pair.

I made the ones that say camaro and the 88. They are on jasons car blk88cam.
They were a 1 off stainless set. And lazer etched.

You made the ones in the original pic I posted?

Are you still in the buisness of making some? I think there a quite a couple of us that would take a pair.

I don't think they would be that hard to make if you went down the metal etching route.

Get some metal of choice and have someone cut some decals to cover what you don't want etched, put on the chemical solution, then peel off the decals.

Yes, I am the original designer and maker of the pics posted. Here are a ton more and bigger.
http://www.cecoatings.com/images/Door%20Sills

Pm me I'm not on this site as a sponcer to sell production stuff. But I do make small runs of custom parts for indivudules if wanted. Billet emblems, guage bezles, door sills , etc....

Stainless was used because of the harsh conditions sill are put thru. Aluminum was to soft and would scratch easy. These were actually put in a lazer etching machine.

To do it like you said you would have to paint everything but the logo with a acid resistant paint. Then use a acid to etch the letters out. Then you would have to paint the letters. ( I use to work in a metal sigh shop doing just that.) Lazer etching these are much more cost productive.
