o.k. a little over a year ago i got fresh paint . after a little searching i found emblems that just say CAMARO . it was my understanding at that time that 1988 was the only year for those GFX emblems . recently i was told that some other years also had the ones that say CAMARO . ??? i'm now a little confused , were there other years that had those ??? not a big deal , i'm just curious . thanks .

 

i dont remember what years but those were the standard sport coupe emblems... before they used the 'RS' designation

 

thanks for the info maroman , i did have 88 s/c for a short time . thats the first time i saw those emblems . (traded it because i could not stand an auto tranny , only auto camaro i have owned) curious still about years & why the emblems are not more popular . thanks .

 

'CAMARO' Rocker emblems are stock for 1988 Only.

 

that makes sense... 88 was the first year the sport coupe got the ground effects package, and in 89 it became the RS... so only 1988's got the 'CAMARO' emblems

if you don't mind my asking, where did you find those emblems? I have an 88 coupe myself and have been looking to get my hands on a new set, since mine could use some help.

 

i searched and asked on this forum . one member had some that he was willing to part with . i could not find a source for new . good luck .
