Removing Iroc lettering and gold pinstripes

I have the gold Iroc package on my car. I am not really that fond of it. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the Iroc decals and the gold striping from my bumpers and ground effects without ruining my nice black paint?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks, Kory

Don't get rid of them, they're cool, but I'm not sure if they'd mess up the paint, when taking them off. Keep em.

I never really liked the striping, but now that I got my IROC, the blue stripe is growing on me. I'm undecided on whether or not I'm takin it off.

You only have one gold stripe and it looks fine, and why custom paint, once again it looks fine. And you have black striping with it and black iroc decal, quit your whinin, any iroc stripe/decal are awesome.

that's the only thing most people can identify that style with otherwise you'll look like an earlier edition. but it's your car do what you like, personally if it's an iroc i'd leave it.

not to mention you pay higher insurance premiums and the car cost you more because of it so why not be proud and show it off.

I'm with ya. The stripe is gay looking. Definitely has 80's written all over it. I took mine off. You just got to be careful that you dont take any paint with it. There's a couple spots where a few very small strips of paint came with the stripe (because the re-paint was oversprayed onto the sticker).

I say shine it.

get yourself a 3m eraser wheel and hook it up to a drill. It won't scratch your paint, but it's a lot of work!

I think that I might try the 3m wheel.
The reason that I would like to get rid of the gold is ,I have been toying with the idea of a set of silver or white stripes on the hood and deck lid. I will not do this if I cannot remove the gold though. I think that having both would look real bad. I don't mind the door decals that much I just wish they were silver.
Thanks for the replys, Kory

I guess the car says 80 no matter what you do. Thats ok with me though. I still would rather have it then a 4th gen (they are cool too) I just think that the Iroc nose looks neat.

Just use a blowdryer. I like the stripes and lettering personally though.

who's whining?
its looks good for now..
when i get the car painted, i'm getting the iroc PAINTED on, instead of a sticker, and the custom = pearl white with blue flake or something like that...

It would be f'n retarded to take off the stripe and the lettering. Why even get an IROC? You should have gotten an RS and put a big motor in because that is what you will have,a regular looking RS w/IROC wheels that somebody put on it.The stripe gay,yeah..okaaay.That would be just plain stupid, degrading an IROC.

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. Anyway I never said that I hated the lettering and stripes. Just that I didn't like the fact that they were Gold.
If you are having a heartattack about the graffics, How do you feel about the fact that I removed and sold a perfectly good low mileage 350 tpi and replaced it with a 430 hp lt1 or the fact that I have all autometer phantom gauges instead of a 140mph cluster.
The bottom line is , I'll build my car the way I want and you do the same.

Welp,I guess everyone can screw up a car if they want to,it's their car.At least keep the lettering in another color or put RS on it.
