Fresh Buff - Original Paint
I just got the car out again and did a fresh buff with some new products I have been looking into. Orders a Porter Cable Buffer and a bunch of Pinnacle Products. Here is the result:

Your pictures are awesome! Man do I wish I had a photographer buddy to take pics of my junk. I love the color combo and the grandsport theme. Very cool car.

I never really had any opinion on them or even thought about them being on for that matter. I'll take a look at em and see how I feel about them.

I lived there until '10. Yeah I had my IROC but the engine was out and never even saw one inch of road there. I would have loved to take her into the hills behind horse tooth or Poudre Valley. Gahhh makes me drool.

If you wet sand that vht with 2500 grit, and polish with your porter cable, it'll look like the lights came "smoked" from the factory.

When done right, they can come out pretty good. That's the last set I did. The key is perfect prepwork along with consistant spray pattern. I throw away the can once it hits about 25% left because it starts spattering inconsistantly. I've since moved on to guns with "dropped" clearcoat.

I already Sanded and polished them out. I used 2000 grit sandpaper and my buffer. They turned out good. I wasn't going for a "blackout" look, just a smoked look. Thanks!

Your Iroc is gorgeous! I don't think the mud flaps on the rear look bad, but front not so good. Great photography also, love the gates of the grave yard. What color is your interior? Does it look as good as the outside?
Re: Fresh Buff - Original Paint
Ok, since everybody is doing nothing but praising the car, I need to throw a negative at ya. It's too dark! Take it from someone with the same color. If the pictures aren't taken within a 3 minute window of lighting perfection, the dark red metallic photos very poorly.
In all seriousness, the car looks good. Good luck getting that 3 minute lighting window that our color car requires. I found really good light at midday on an overcast day, otherwise, my photos are always too dark.

I thought the gates look pretty neat and have never seen anything like it in car photos. I never thought of it as depressing just a sweet gate. Plus the black wheels give it a dark evil look so I thought it suited it well.
