Black Hole'd the black IROC today.

I bought a product recently called Black Hole Glaze. It's basically a cleaner filler glaze designed to fill swirls and other surface imperfections in black and dark colored cars.

I used it on my swirled out black daily driver and I was pretty amazed at the results, this stuff really worked.

I know alot of folks say that glazes are cheating, but who cares. The bottom line to me is how the finish looks in the end.

Anyway, I noticed a swirl or two in my IROC and decided to use Black Hole on it today. I was getting ready to hit a local cruise night with it tonight, but it started pouring rain a half hour after I took these pics.

It actually looks shinier and "blacker" in the flesh. Must be the lighting and my poor photo skills.

Anyway, I think I'm going to have a bottle of this stuff as a go-to for my black cars.

I will have to give it a try. I have more recently been using Primas line, but that looks really deep!

Have any before shots?

Here are some befores from another thread from a couple of months ago. It's hard to really appreciate any difference in the pics.

Paint looked great before, but lot more depth now. Your garage sucks btw...

Re: Black Hole'd the black IROC today.

The "before" pics were freshly buffed. Like I said, it's almost impossible to really see any difference in those pics. But, on a black finish which requires alot of correction, you can get a great result without having to buff off lots of paint. The Youtube video I linked to gives you a better idea than my pictures.

Re: Black Hole'd the black IROC today.

Looks great!!! I detail cars on the side and had 3 black vehicles to buff last week that were a mess. I used the orbital for the first two steps and then used a product similar to the Black Hole that you used to fill in the light swirls. Black looks beautiful when it is freshly detailed. Good work and good luck with the car!!
