They may be water proof, but what about sun repellant and will they keep the moisture out. That's just rust waiting to happen.

The Wolf Noah cover is also very good, about $150 from Summit. And they make ones specifically for third gens. I have one and love it.

I had a $30 cover las winter, and after all the acid rain, sun and all the other elements it fell apart, I started seeing blue on the ground in front of the car.

As the saying goes, spend a little now, or a lot later.

Can you damage a new paint job by putting a cover on it right away for an extended period of time? I don't know, but it is a question worth asking.

Yes. The damage will come if it gets wet under the cover. You should get one that will repell water, yet breathe and let the water vapor escape. Think along the lines of Gore-Tex. Check California Car Cover Company. They have a vast array of covers available from generic ones, to custom fit in many choices of fabric. They explain the benefits of each fabric. Good luck, Lon. http://www.calcarcover.com/

California Car Cover is right on DeSoto and Plummer in the valley, FAST. I think he's in Graeme's neighborhood. It might be cheaper just to go there and take a look.
