Cross lace wheel... 18" forged. COME ON IN!

I happened to run across these on another board and thought that it would be totally unfair to not share with the guys looking to have a factory appearance with updated sizes and materials.

Kranson Forged... These are a one off wheel at this time, but are looking to put them into production.

Those pics of those wheels and that GNX have been public for well over a year, if not 2.
This is not a new wheel.

Well bummer... I thought that last ones were much older than that and dude sold them on ebay or something? What ever I guess. Wheel Werks is peddling the line and showing off the "new" style, so assumed.

Can't lie... I would totally rock a set!

Ya I seen a post a few years ago also about a set custom made like that. As said above I thought they sold on ebay for around 4k give or take a few..

Either way they sure are nice.

Very nice wheels. In the 1k range I'd be looking at a set, but not for 4k.

Brandon, you know I've got to check this out :-D. Message sent to the Lipps guys. I may see if there's additional interest on the TTA boards.

Since this was already bumped, I would be in for a set if they could keep them under 2k...

Re: Cross lace wheel... 18" forged. COME ON IN!

^ no more than the stock GTA wheels.

I have a call in to the guys at Lipps Wheel Supply in Miami. Will see what comes back. Do any of you guys have recommendations on offset/width fitment for 18" wheels on a GTA?

Thanks a lot.

Lance wait until next week before ordering anything. I might have just bought something you may have more interest in, than I do.

Re: Cross lace wheel... 18" forged. COME ON IN!

^ Still working on this. I have not heard back from the Kranson guys on this yet. They are looking at what the optimal offset/stance setup would be for a wheel proposal and I have no reference for what that would be on a TA/TTA (assuming no fender roll). Once I have that, I will advise. Eitehr way, I'm sure it will be pretty expensive.

Yes, I have had a phone discussion or two with them so far. Need to have a couple more regarding width and offset I believe. Then we can nail down pricing / availability.

Re: Cross lace wheel... 18" forged. COME ON IN!

Ditch the bolt heads (i know....need for 3-piece but only if they aren't welded) & it is a winner. PW7s didn't have the bolt heads & I won't run imitations with bolt heads. I think they would go over better without the bolts/bolt heads. Or maybe powdercoat the heads black/gold to match the laces so they'd be less visible.

Damn Lance you should have told me you needed some back spacing specs. I had both my 18x9 and 18x10 off to see how your epsilons fit . Could have measured.

They can set-up their CNC program to mill the centers so they'll bolt-in from the rear. There's quite a few 3-piece wheels made with the hardware hidden on the backside of wheels.

It's a 3 piece wheel..it's going to be expensive. I'd guess in the $950-1200 per wheel range.

Still nothing back. I will try them again this week.

Don't want to contaminate the thread with conjecture on what I think the wheels will cost - just prefer to stick with some data from the guys who make the wheels.

They look good, but at the price to have those I would rather get the CCW classics and call it day.

Re: Cross lace wheel... 18" forged. COME ON IN!

Probably made in China anyway...

They look REALLY close to some of the rotiform wheels, and those are imported from China:

http://www.importgenius.com/search/rotiform

http://www.rotiform.com/products_lhr_3pc_flat.html

Not exactly the same, but I've found that 90 percent of these forged wheel manufacturers import their stuff from China.

Not all of them

http://www.importgenius.com/importer...ormance-wheels

I've also seen records of them importing from Europe, so they're not getting bottom of the barrel garbage from China like most of these companies do.

Those Rotiform wheels look amazing, but $1,250 per wheel is insane.

I've had friends buy Rotiforms, spend 6k, and then come in bent. I won't touch them for that reason.
