Re: April 2013 COTM ** VOTING **
Well guys, it's about my time to chime in here.
First, I would like to apologize for my absence during the month of February. I was not even aware that my car had been nominated, much less made it to the voting stage. February was not a good thirdgen month for me. I had been working on my car SO much non-stop that I actually became frustrated with it and for roughly two months lost interest and did nothing but drive it. That however, will lead me to sharing the very shortened version of my car...
I have owned this car for 5 years now. It was the first car I ever bought with my own money working part time hours at a pizza parlor in the spring of '08. It has probably spent 1/3 of the time I've owned it parked because it used to always act up and break down. Somehow I couldn't bring myself to part with it, though. I got another daily driver and it sat with a dead transmission, waiting patiently for almost a year until the time was right. In June of 2011, that time came. The tables turned and I began what I had been dreaming of for the past 3 years.
Here she is in another life. We had a few bumps, scrapes and a near death experience along the way but we lived to tell the tale.

Laid up for almost a year. Front end not looking so good

Now, about that 2011 business. Finally the time and money were right and I said enough is enough. Spent nearly two years hard at work nonstop. Transmission and rearend got fully built. Interior got custom restored. Spent a couple months at the bodyshop. All the weatherstripping and windows sweeps were replaced. Full intake, exhaust, a few other goodies and some free mods. I made custom taillights as well as retrofit HID hi/lo projectors. I've gotten my hands dirty and bloody more times than I can count but in the end it was well worth it.
So much has been done I honestly lost track. But, when the dust finally settled I had taken the car in the photos above and turned it into...

Re: April 2013 COTM ** VOTING **
hey guys.. so i finally got some pictures to add here.. Ive gotten several msgs to add more pictures of other parts of the car.. so here you go. The car is filthy and havent had the car detailed yet this summer. I need to have it detailed soon as I am taking it to some car shows and cruises. I got it 2 years ago and it was in really bad shape. Ive done alot of work to it to get it to this point. Some key things i want to mention are the front headlights are also my turn signals. I used rear mustang sequential lighting to work in the direction im turning.. That was a headache to wire up and many relays work to get this done lol. I will make a you tube for it soon and post it here when i can. Thanks and enjoy! There are some really nice rides in here with some good workmanship fellas !! keep it up !! long live the F body!!

Here's a rendition I got waaay back in the day from a member here.
Re: April 2013 COTM ** VOTING **
I like a good looking stock car as much as the next guy.. but it takes a lot more effort and injinuity to build something custom and make it appear like it came from the factory compared to factory / aftermarket off the shelf parts.. custom homemade gives more character to the car and makes it way more unique
