Valve Cover Paint
I have an '89 GTA (L98) with a silver/gray like paint. Just wondering if anyone knows of a paint that matches closely? Thanks.

I used one of these two,not sure witch one.The color was almost exact, maybe a shade off, can't really tell the change.
I used this one,http://www.eastwood.com/ew-detail-gray-set.html,just found the remainder of the the can.

Re: Valve Cover Paint
why not buy the actual paint that matches your car? A lot of places can mix some for you and put it into an aerosol can if you don't have the ability to spray it through a gun.

Re: Valve Cover Paint
It's called lousy paint. The C4 Corvette valve covers were painted silver, but tended to slowly fade to a nasty brown color. I'm guessing that the "gold" ones you saw were just starting to turn brown.
Seymour Paints makes a "Nickel" paint that is a very good match for the original silver paint used on the C4 valve covers. I've painted a few sets with it and it works very well.
Here's the set that I'm using on the 350 going into my GTA:

Re: Valve Cover Paint
well yeah that'd probably explain it, i didn't know if they were painted differently or made out of a different material that looked more gold or what, engine looks good by the way, mine still looks like crap haha
