just some more pics of the hugger orange Z. The Zaino is on the way as we speak. Im still in debate about what to do about the front GFX. Mine isn't in the best of shape, but i think it might be repairable.

oh yeah, heres a pic of my friends 90 RS. His brother just finished painting it for him:

luv the detail and quality of work. Hate the design it self.

Hey, its getting there! I really like the hugger orange. Do you plan on keeping those rims or getting some other rims? I dont know what to think about your friend's car. I like the creativity and all, but I dont know about those colors.

Not to nit pick or anythign but that car of yours looks real dull. Are there more coats or clear or somethign that has yet to go on it? Or is it just the photos??

Anywayz, I'm sure it will be awesome when completed. You're gonna take me for a ride right??

un4givin,
actually its a mix of both. the paint looks much glossier than in the pics, but it does have some dull spots. I haven't gone over the car with the second polishing compound yet so im hoping that takes car of it.

You're both right.

It depends on what you're mixing. If you're mixing light, yes, you get yellow. If you're mixing paint, you get kindofa turd brownish grey looking stuff.

Since on the cars we're talking about paint, blue is the opposite of orange. Either way, the design on that car looks okay, but the choice of colors was pretty poor IMO.

paint/vs. light isn't the real issue, it's color vs. pigment, stupid electromagnetic waves! WHY must EVERYTHING end up so complicated??

But isn't it all the same, it's just the color of the light(paint) that reaches our eyes. So the true opposite of yellow is blue.

blue is th opposite of orange on the color wheel, hence the pair are complementary colors, but i dont think that RS looks good at all, but the Hugger orange IROC is sweet

Well, I don't think the hugger will ever shine like a light red or a black. But the garage pic I'd say it looks pretty good! The RS... well, different is not always better.

zupman...Your car looks great. What type of digital camera are you using? I am looking for one so that I can post pics of my car...and yours seems to give a real clear picture. What brand is it? How many megapixels? Thanks. Does anybody else have suggestions?

i agree, in the first pictures, the car looks good, but the finish looks kinda dull. the last picture shows the gloss a lot better. that rs is gross looking.

the camera im using is an Olympus C-3000, and it's 3.3 megapixels. That last picture i took with no flash, and i set the f stop higher than the light meter recommended. It seems that whenever i listen to the meter, the pics come out too light, and give that kind of hazing color.

Mine is an Olympus. Anywayz, looks really good in that shot from your garage. Still alittle dull, but not as dull as before. More shine. Look forward to end result. Cuase it looks bad *** in that picture.

I think you shoulda gone Hugger Orange w/ white racing stripes or something to that effect. Too much orange.

The RS would make a good show type car, but I'd never every drive it....

I was considering racing stripes but to be honest i love how clean the car looks now. Besides that, i haven't really seen any stripes on a thirdgen that i like enough to consider putting on my car.

Obviously he's gonna pay for it, but it sucks and im still pised. and my neck hurts...

You guys dont know what you are talking about. His car is not that crappy teal color in the pictures it is blue all around like in the rear part of the car. You guys should take a look at the interior, and the rest of the car, it in almost perfect shape except for some mileage and some mud on the car from the wet band field in the school. You guys can come up with some lame a$$ cracks when half of you bit*hes dont even have a decent car.

CRACKIE69, Wow, so we've discovered it's blue all around. That would be good except the ugly *** orange part. Pick a color and stick with it, racing/heritage stripes if you'd like.

Your welcomed to have your opinions as we did. You think it looks good... good for you. The majority thinks it looks like ****.
Maybe he's a friend of yours and you feel the need to stick up for him, instead maybe you should help him realize what everyone else in this post has. There are plenty of cars that are in good shape on here, except they have good paint jobs as well. That may be a flawless paint job, but he picked the wrong colors. Bad judgement, so now we know not how to paint our cars.

ZupmanZ28 knew it would be a like or dislike comment on that car. Don't get pissed when people disagree, it's going to happen.

as for the color mixing comments above, i figured i would just add another note. colored paint and colored light do mix differently. its actually called additive and subtractive color mixing. when you add paints together, the pigments mix with each other and result in another color (ie. blue + yellow = green) so its called additive color mixing. however, when colored light mixes together, the hues in the light subtract from each other, so now blue and yellow will give some other color....like purple or something....so its called subtractive color mixing (easiest example is combining colored gels over a single light). sooo, as you all know in additive mixing when the colors in the color wheel are added together you get black....in subtractive color mixing you get white.

blue and orange are complementry colors. just think syracuse or florida state. its a great combination (NOT TEEL)....when done right. that RS was done completely wrong!! it looks GAY! even if the color was looks wrong int he pic and i saw it in person, i would still think it is GAY! and if it drove by me i would laugh my a$$ off!! hope your friend doens't plan on selling it. its gonna be a TOUGH sell.

reminds me of that new kids on the block car that floats around this board......HAHAH.....

thats my oppinion.....SO LIKE IT! and respect it.....lata

No problem man! Just as one member to another a good thing to remember is we all view things differently and what I like you may not like. You're always more than welcome to voice your opinions but never burn bridges by name calling and etc. because there may be a time when you need some help and then you'll be on your own. Welcome to the board! John
