***** AUGUST Nominations*****

This thread is designed as a nomination board to narrow down to the top ten thirdgens found on this board. This is not a picture thread to post pictures of your own vehicle, and you cannot nominate your own vehicle. To nominate a member you must provide a user name and POST A GOOD PHOTO of the vehicle (for others to possibly 2nd, 3rd, 4th the nomination).

***NEW***
- This month is OPEN for any Modified, or stock, Camaro or Firebird!!!

Once a vehicle has been nominated, there is no need to post additional pics, but please post with members screen name as a second, third etc nomination.

One nomination per member. So please do not list of your top 20 favorite cars... think about this, it will be an honor, pick one. If multiple nominations are made by a single member, I will only count the first posted member when creating a tally.

*** The 10 or less cars with the most nominations will be complied into a new thread around July 15th, at which time poll format will be used to nominate the August car of the month. A car must receive more than one nomination be included in the voting process ***

Your 18" IROC replicas look great with the painted grooves.

You should also take a new picture for your sig, your current sig does your car no justice.

I didn't even notice how well that would fit. The next car should almost be required to be blue.

 

Your car is sick and has come a long way! There is a laundry list of members rides I would nominate, but seeing the fresh pics you posted today reminded me of how much I really like your car.

Posting pics of your cars helps remind other members just how nice of cars we have. So if you have been wanting to get nominated... remember to post pics of the things your doing so other can be reminded too (everybody)

With all the sweet blue cars on the site, I kinda figured there would be a shoe in for it by now! There is thread just a couple down with some SICK examples... hint!hint! anyone that has not nominated yet

Heres the blue one...I am nominating this all original low milage and beautiful 86 T/A. It is owned by member 86ws6. There is a very interesting story behind this car which Im sure Charles will share.

 

I'll second that motion. That car is super as a clean original 86 that you just don't find anymore.

The wheels actually aren't painted. They're black powder coated with machined face/lip. I did consider shooting a gunmetal gray over the black, but loved the way it came out once they were mounted up.

OH,I'm between a rock and a hard place between 86WS6,Motobooks and Puma1552.Fine beautiful examples of all original,stock, 3rd gens.Can I vote for all three.

1986 iroc z - 85 rear glass, gmpp 350 ho crate engine, t5 trans, edelbrock 600 carb, edelbrock intake, 160 stat, long tube headers, flowmaster exhaust, about 2 inch drop all around, founders performance lca's - panhard, 18x8.5 iroc replicas with 275/35/18 sumitomo htz rubber, full custom interior (leather seats and door panels by mr mikes), custom sub box, fusion amp, pioneer d series speakers, custom gauge overlays, forever sharp steering wheel, led interior lighting.

Lots of great cars here. I'm very happy to be considered amongst them.

 

I vote for RuckusZ28! Amazingly beautiful car! Mind you they all are, I'm just a sucker for red. :P

 

86WS6 gets my nomination. I am partial to TAs and love the color!

Puma has a very sanitary(flashback) ride.

However I'm in a turbo mood and have been looking at some gns so... The tta has my attention. Those were very fast cars back then. We need more coverage of it! Maybe a history of ! tta along with it.

Thanks! I went through just about every cleaner possible on them. I came down to an ultimatum. Delete them, or replace them. I went through hawks and got a new set of bottles. Cosmetically one of the best under-hood upgrades I've done.

 

Well i like to add my 92 in the hunt still under construction but can still hold it own.

I had to take a second look. I hadn't noticed that they were aftermarket.
Question. You say powder coated and then machined. I suppose that meant an end to the chrome finish...or weren't they chrome plated to begin with?
The reason I ask is that aftermarket IROC rims I've seen are all plated and it doesn't have the same appeal (to me) as the painted inserts and the machined lip.
They look great and also open up a whole new selection of tires being that the 16" versions are overlooked by companies like Nitto.

Correct, they were never chrome to begin with. I ordered them from westcoastwheelfactory in california. Thanks for the compliment!
