Let's start with my driver-side floorboard.

 

I'm game. Got mine a bit over a year ago and went from this:



To two weeks later and a spun main bearing leading to this (l69, kept the TBI)



Now I'm here. Interior is pretty shot, big dent on the rear quarter and front end, paint is destroyed... But she's getting there:

 

does this count? it was a few years ago when i was prepping my daily driver for paint and 4th gen spoiler.

ive been trying to save for a good paint job. but she's been looking like this all summer. i also did a car show. it was a fun time. got a dash plaque and a t-shirt for participating, lol.

 

that is not bad, i can not see the ground from inside it, like i could if i pulled the carpet up in mine ... lol

 

it was pretty fun, i kept seeing a car show every sunday at a local place, so i took off work and went there. at first they put me right in between 2 show quality cars, got more attention than most of the cars around lol. after i repainted it like 3 weeks later, i brought it back and re-entered it. i was awarded second place the next time i entered it, it was in memory of the car show founder's deceased wife, who apparently really liked my car and always pointed it out every time she was able to make it to the show. I thought that was really awesome.

I cant say it drives well, but at least it moves and its out of that field...

 

If you had some old steel rallys, you'd have my vote. The wheels take away from the grunginess of the car. IDK if that's a compliment or insult. LOL

 

I liked it better with the stock wheels, but I needed new tires and I found a good deal on those OZs... maybe I'll go back to stock eventually

Just so you all know I'm not making fun. I was a strong contender at the beginning of this year. I believe the requirements were running and driving. Didn't say it had to be complete.

 

If it had headlights,taillights and turn signals, It would be legal to drive in GA.

Just kidding - not my car but had to share One on the right is, was in rough shape ... slowly coming back.

 

Remove the person in the picture and it almost looks like a painting! Kinda cool!

 

3.1 v6 camaro, wisconsin car so body panels have some rust. Underbody surprisingly doesnt have that much though. C&C T-Tops leak. Headliner is melted from a wire. I love this car though.

OK, after seeing that engine bay, im thinking camaroyoungster has this so far. that thing looks like a true beater!!!

 

it may be rough but i still love her. she runs and drives but only can run for bout 10 minutes before she starts running rough

 

Is that the original interior colors? nice old sport coupe keep it running !

 

84 berlinetta. 140k bought it a couple weeks ago for 1500.

 

Driver floor board rust. Rear quarter panel hole. Hatch rust.. Rough lol

 

Yeah it is pretty bad. Floor boards are all solid though so i am going to cut out the strut towers and put new ones in. That's really all the rust that is in there. I just don't know what that yellowish stuff is. And yes it is all orginal interior.

 

Hmm, I'll have to get some pics of mine once I get it running again.

 

Well I might as well throw in my beater that I bought 3 years ago,
Here's how she looked then.

At the end of that year she looked like this.

After her second year she looked like this and hasn't changed much since then.
And has bean put on hold for a bit as I make some more molds for modifications.
Like a new hood out of cf, rear deck lid out of cf and some other things.
And yes she's street legal and runs and drives.

very funny!! around here you see a few still on the road. and beaters? that's 95% of the ones I see.half primered.mis matched body panels.smoking rattling bombers.BUT the thing is,when I approach them they are all proud to own and drive their 3rd gens. and when I show them my 86 IROC, its "where did you get your parts?" now I don't have a show car by any means.but mines more complete and functional than most. im trying to get a network of 3rd gen owners started here in Knoxville TN. for parts sourcing ,technical help and ,well sort of a support group for us who suffer from a 3rd gen affliction !!!
