Mentioning nice original car and a teen owner in the same sentences gives me the heebbie jeebbies. If I was grandpop, I'd give him a different car first, and tell him he'll get the cream puff in about 5 years IF the car you give him is kept in excellent condition, never wrecked, always washed and waxed.

Re: 12,000 MILE Camaro

Maybe he took the original wheels and tires off to preserve them? (plus if the tires are original, it's kind of a safety issue that could cause damage)

Looks great tho!

Agree. when I was 16 I had a younger neighbor whos father worked with him to build up and restore a 79 Camaro SS/RS with hideaways and stripes, dark green and they built up a 350 and dropped it in with all hi-po parts. when he turned 16 he got it and within a week took a banked turn at about 80-90 and and launched the car into a telephone pole without the seatbelt was ejected from the car through the windshield. had a few broken ribs and knocked out is two front teeth on the wood steering wheel. smart smart dad. one (collectable now) totalled 69 SS/RS this was in 86...

He will probably put 22s on it and enough speakers to bust the back glass out.

Re: 12,000 MILE Camaro

I hope he keeps it original too. I got my first thirdgen when I was 15, and the first thing I did was start my mini restoration on it. I have never seen the apeal in destroying orginal cars with silly mods. Or any of that jdm stuff. I like it when people take orginal parts from different years and making their third gen their own. But I will never understand the logic in my generation's modification of their cars.

Blacked out turn signal markers & tail lights
Aftermarket wheel's
red scuff on the rear bumper (not sure)

Not good signs at all for this pristine Camaro
