I thought i'll show you my new t-shirt that i just got today from printing.
I was searching on ebay for Iroc t-shirts and there really aren't any good ones so i decided to make my own with help of my sister that knows how to use photoshop.
Do you get royalties from every shirt sold? or was it a "hey, give us a picture and you can realistically say that your car is on thousands of peoples shirts!"
having never been in such a situation I'm curious how it works.
I get nothing. And no, they didn't ask me for a picture either.
I was at a car show a few years back and a GM apparel truck was there. I saw the shirt and bought one! I then called the company on the following Monday to let them know that was my car on their shirt. They said they were given access to the GM Media Archives for any and all pictures to create the licensed shirt. I was told that none of the 3rd gen pictures gave them what they wanted. A web search brought them to a picture of my car, so they used it.
They were concerned that I was calling to complain, but in all reality, I think it's cool that my car is on a tshirt. It's a hobby, not a business, so I wear the shirt to car shows now. I gave them access to any and all images of my car that they want to use for future projects. They created a banner as a thanks.

I wasn't going to show the original picture and take away from the original post, but I will now. I knew it when I saw it, because I took the picture and have a 24x40 of it framed in my "man cave". Also, there aren't many out there still donning the rear window louvers. Once I saw a burgundy shirt with an IROC-Z, I was sold on the shirt, but then when I saw it up close, I knew it was mine.

What do you think?
Ok,back to the original post... Like your shirt that is sweet!
I am from Europe(Slovenia) and just went to check one yesterday...its black '86 with 350 and automatic but it needs some suspension work - its really floaty/all over the road to drive and also it needs body work...I need to think about this before buying it. Price is around 6000 EUR or 6700 USD.
Be careful if they are listing the car as original. There weren't 350s in Camaros in 1986. It's either a transplant to a 350 or it's a 305. Just be aware of that.
It is a transplant from another car, it has carb and different intake. In original it was 305 car, i don't know what the rear axle is but it feels like long gears and it has drums.

An IROC is not 'floaty'. Better have a local mechanic check out the front suspension parts including inner/outer tie rods, ball joints, idler arm and pitman arm. Worn struts or shocks are acceptable IMO. The spring on this Gen IROC almost don't need the front struts meaning there is no excessive bounce when driving over bumps.

Clearly the one he's looking at is, haha.
He was talking about the car he is inquiring about, not making a general statement about the genre lol.
What I meant was, that if it doesn't steer correctly, it may have very excessively worn steering parts and to have them checked out before the purchase.
I real iroc in American that needs ALOT of work but is still a solid car that "key" DRIVES, is worth 3000-4000 depending on the shape, a regular 3rd gen z28 - non iroc is worth like 1500 in the same shape. USD
