best I could do now with the pics, they really dont do it any justice at all.

I had the top remade (dont like the ridges on top and have heard of them warping)
$120 including polishing

I then wanted to take it a step furhter and had it chromed, total cost was $250 (there was a lot of copper added due to the suck *** casting)

Like I said the pics dont do it any justice at all.

Damn!... nice work. That's exactly what I want...

Maybe one day.

How much did the top run? Most of them I see has the ridges on top, or fins.

Was that polished or chrome plated? It looks almost like you stuck a mirror on it. Nice work again!

That looks pretty cool I did the complete opposite and painted my SuperRam with black wrinkle paint. Accel sells a billet lid that doesn't have the "ridges". I think it costs around $125. I wouldn't want to even think about how much prepping was needed to chrome that thing.

Just to clear things up a bit. I did not do the work. I had put in about 10 hours trying to polish it in the first step and just could not get rid of the casting marks in the box.
So I took it to a local professional shop that specializes in chroming for HD parts, and they did an awesome job.

I painted mine because the casting was about 15 different shades of silver. It looked like hell. Yours really looks incredible It looks like it's made of glass.

We thought about having the runners down, but didnt want to get to over board with the chrome and polishing. I will ahve my throttle body done they same way as the box, and the valve covers, then all the service points in the engine, other than that everything else will be black.

Awesome looking runners
