’I am speechless’ award: 88IROCvertZ (1319 words, 27 pictures)
I get long breaks between jobs and kill time on TGO.. I don’t even realize how many words I type until I hit “post” and then it’s like, “damn, oh well”

Hard to beat an "all original" car that was purchased new by the owner himself.....just like your black IROC Chaz....that is too cool !!
I am envious !!
I think we should have Horacio and 88Irocvert fight to determine which of their verts is best! 3 rounds. Old school tai boxing like Kurt Sloane and Tong Po!

I'm thinking a good old fashion arm wrestle contest....

Do you reread them as well! I like your post, mostly interesting stuff you ramble about!
I voted for the guy that won the month I was involved in. I may have to argue with qwk, Ha Ha, to him being the best "sleeper"
I took a little time to pull together a few fun facts about our COTM winners in the same fashion as last year.
The 2nd annual Participation Awards!
‘In loving memory’ award: dagwood & firebrdo88 (you made them proud!)
Thanks man......my big brother is the only reason why I own this particular car. I know he's smiling from above, and I am truly honored to have my car recognized along side such awesome cars.
Thanks for doing the research for the fun awards! Pretty cool info and neat to read!
And, thanks to Linson as well for putting this all together!

It is ridiculously close between the two of you! And I can be persuaded to change. I gave it to Horacioz28iroc for still driving on original 31 year old tires. Are you stupid enough to do that?

Wait a minute..... Did I overlook a Participation Award???
You don't get one for simply being slow. But I will give you one if you drive the slowest V8 Camaro ever made. Sounds like a cool category to me!
Now it's not entirely clear to me which model that is so I need help determining if you quality for such an prestigious honor.

This is awesome! It's an impressive line up of amazing 3rd gens. I've got 225k on the odometer! That's in kilometres tho. Puts it at about 145000 miles. But that's not a lot for over 30 yrs old.
Each of these cars is just fantastic in it's own way. Any forum member could be proud to have any one of these 3rd gens. as their favorite forums COTY.
I re-read each COTM winners thread, managed to narrow it to 6 choices, then grudgingly to 3, and finally with much hair splitting to one. But again I say, if your car is on this list, you have one very special ride, and it would be a great COTY standard bearer for this forum.
Stupendous line up! It may be cliche, but truly speaking, Every car could represent our community, and this year of voting.
I normally vote based on 3 different pieces of criteria. What car would I want. What is the condition of that car. And what it story/history of said car or member. Sometimes it's the member who brings more story than car. It's my vote, that's what I look at. I am NOT going to go into the 3 or 4 runner ups in my head, but in the end I went with Dagwood.
First, as an 89 Iroc owner, I would like to find a non Iroc, z28 as my next thridgen, of any year. I'll tip my cap to the 82-84 era as well. Aside from being a simply stunning low mile car, some of you may know my hierarchy of interior colors. I tend to shy away from grey, and like 'em more as they get more rare. Gotta love that.....WHATEVER color that is in that Z! ...and then of course the 20 year search for that specific combo, in memory of his bro.

Well done sir!
Wow man.....thank you!
In the 82 brochure, my interior color is simply called Maroon.....and 82 is the only year it was available.
Alright, people, I'm doing the Participation Awards a little different this year. Periodically I'm going to add a topic and anybody can win that qualifies. So keep checking in while the voting is still alive and see if you earned another award!
Today's Award Category: Cars that have been in a print or online magazine.
I have not had my car in a magazine as a feature yet but did do a photoshoot back in September with Kevin Diossi for Fastest Street Car magazine while at the NMCA race in Indianapolis. Sounds like it will be something they use around March or April 2019.
This is awesome. All great cars. I learned a few things here. Good luck to all! This was my first car. Bought when I was 15 back in 1997.
We've got a winner of the "My first car" award!

Oh, so close! I'll tell you what, since nobody else spoke up I am going to give you the "Magazine Photo Shoot" award.
I am glad no one has had this issue. That is the worst thing that can happen.
Roger that.. and often times when people check out my car at shows I hear the story..”I bought one of these brand new and it got stolen the first week I owned it..”
I remember when I bought my car from the previous owner in the late 90s.....first thing I had to do was change the locks.....the driver side one was smashed in from someone trying to steal the car.
How about this.... it is Christmas season so I'll do white elephant with you. Under $20 value and has to be a part for a 3rd gen. PM me your mailing address and we'll trade random stuff from our hoard.
