January 2019 COTM **Winner**
Congratulations, ev305tpi! Your '92 Z28 is our January 2019 COTM. You said it...this is a special car indeed. Hardtop. 1LE. LB9. 5-speed. Crank Windows. AC Delete. 8k on the odometer. This is an excellent car. I'm glad that it's been entrusted to you and not me, as I don't have the kind of discipline it takes to keep a car such as this as pristine and mechanically "unmolested" as this. Along with scottmoyer's IROC, I would put your car up against any "stock class" classic car from earlier decades. It is as deserving of recognition, and, is a less tread upon platform, and in many cases, a better car in terms of all-around performance. Another great car in your already great collection.
This car is a special one to me. It's a 92 Z28 1LE. It was special ordered to be a special car by its original owner. This car was ordered by a woman in CA to be her daily driver with the help of her son. The son chose what he considered to be the hottest setup at the time (and I do too!)... Teal, 1LE, stick shift, CD player, black custom cloth, etc. When the car arrived, the mother realized that the car did not have AC and came with crank windows and she realized that this wasn't an every day car. So, she bought a Taurus and parked the car to be used for car shows and occasional fun use. True story. I bought it from the original owner a year ago.
The car has 8k miles on it. It still wears gatorbacks, OEM floor mats, GM muffler, etc etc. I have all of the paperwork on it and it's in fantastic shape.
I have been working out the bugs from sitting like I have my others, and every time I see it, it puts a smile on my face. This car was literally the dream car of myself and my friends growing up.... A teal hardtop performance oriented big wing Z28 was the stuff of dreams and i'm very fortunate to own it.

Congratulations! A horse race won against strong competition in Scott’s also pristine IROC. Not many could pull that off, but this car is undeniable. Well done sir!
