Congratulations, StansFBM! That's one helluva car!
Those meats look killer; the wheels pop; the paint pops; the engine rocks:
There's really just a lot to love about this IROC. Forget keeping up with the Joneses - we love Third Gens that scare the hell out of the Joneses.
This car was born a 1985 Iroc-Z 305 TPI Auto. The previous owner (some of you may remember the build TBRays98 thread) and I put some of the highlights on a new build thread and extended it after buying the car May 2017. I spent some time getting the car on the road as it was, but I had planned on doing a full LS3 / T56 build and was looking for the right car.
I built the car for a cool street cruiser with occasional track - but it has A/C and stock amenities
Engine: 6.2L LS3 out of 2009 Corvette, rebuilt new, Brian Tooley Stage 3 camshaft with their pushrods and valve spring kit, Drive By Wire throttle body and pedal on a Hawks mounting plate
Harness: GMPP LS3 Controller Kit - Relays, Harness, ECM, and DBW
Crossmember: Holley T56 with polly mount
Kmember: Stock, no notching
Fuel System: Racetronix with Hotwire kit, stock 4th gen Tank and lines using in tank regulator
Exhaust: Speed Engineering Headers, Custom Y to flowmaster catback
Air Conditioning: Stock 3rd gen compressor, with custom lines and manifold running standalone on Trinary switch controlling Fan and Compressor power (58x does not have ECM request inputs). I'm also running Old Air electronic heater bypass control to keep heater core cool (I live in FL)
Transmission: T56 with LS7/3 Clutch and flywheel
Interior: originally Lear Seigler Tan, but it was changed to 89 beechwood. It's mostly stock looking even with stock guages (decent job making those work with swap). I have some bigger plans on the interior, but that's another story LOL
Wheels - New US Mags Forged Aluminum 18x10 295/35/18 and fronts are 18x9 on 255/40/18s. They have the stock gold accent custom finished.
Anyway, that covers the major areas - I love driving this car all around Tampa with local club members and just having a blast!!!!

Thanks Linson for all your work as COTM editor and thanks Ty92z and RKeats for nominating the car! Drew, gt4373, and G92IROC has some really clean rides that look amazing and period correct!
I have to say, it's really cool to see the appreciation for the car after all those long nights in the garage, laying on my back under jack stands, and obsessing with my spreadsheet check list LOL. I really love driving the car and I wanted to keep the original style in tact. Thanks for all the votes!
