I wanted to share with you that I recently read a thread about cleaning auto glass with stove top cleaner. My rear hatch glass was bad so I picked up some cerama bryte from Homeme Depot and gave it a try. I had to use elbow grease but the first attempt went well. I missed some spots and will try again this weekend, but it looks almost new and the clearness is unbelievable. Thanks for letting me share and thank you to the person who posted originally.

Never heard that trick before, but I guess if it can get caked on, baked on stuff off oven glass it should work on baked in water spots from the sun..

I feel like plain old yellow liquid Rain X used to work too if you follow the directions..

-clean the window

-apply Rain X to a clean cloth and apply to glass like a wax

-dry to a Haze

-remove haze with a clean cloth or micro fiber

-clean window with just a spray of water and paper towels to make it crystal clear

Rain X will keep that from happening again too.. I know some guys used to wax their back window too..

 

I am gonna try this......I have some water spots on my rear glass.

 

I wax my windows, too.....even my windshield! It works just like RainX. I've done it for over 25 years lol

 

It does work.. I used to do my 87 back window that had 20% tint on it... it was super black and shiny and I could Quik Detail it to clean it just like the paint! Ha ha..

 

It also makes the bugs clean off your windshield way easier when its waxed, too.

 

Brake dust and bugs are my enemy!
