Figured I'dd start this new thread so not to hijack any of the existing threads. Also, feel free to add info/etc to this if any new stuff hits the market.
So, there are offerings in the 5x7 and 4x6 sealed beam, limited in the low/high 4x6.
We have many cheaper options but the big boys being JW Speaker, Trucklite, Vision X, Morimoto out in front. Holley just releasing one as well. As LAfireboyd has posted info on the latest offerings, and Headlight Revolution being a great source for youtube videos featuring light shootouts.
I went with the Trucklite 27450c a few years ago now, great upgrade, love them!. After Headlight Revolution did a second 5x7 shootout earlier this year (first one was a few years ago) I called Trucklite and asked if the model I had was changed at all in the production years. It was the same. But I was told very interesting news, Trucklite was working on new led sealed beams, sweet! These are here!! See them on their website, 5x7 is 37450c, and the 4x6 are both a separate low and high housing, not good for the '91-'92 Birds sadly.
But they are a projector style instead of the reflector the 27450 is, 6 diodes instead of 2. So I figure Trucklite had JW Speaker set in their sites to raise the bar. With the research and development they hopefully put into these I'm very hopefull they will take the 5x7 crown... by a margin. If they do I may be upgrading to their new lights, I'm more than happy with mine and these will only be better.
I was really excited to finally see Morimotos when they announced early orders for their new 5x7 and 4x6 last year, they called out both JW and Trucklite in their writeups. I was letdown at them, not that they are bad, just that I was gonna switch mine out. I am not bashing Morimoto, I was on their pre-order list almost a year before they finally released their XB headlights for Ram trucks, was one of the first in Canada to get them. I absolutely love them.
But even guys at Headlight Revolution agreed my Trucklites would not be upgraded going to the new Morimotos. So hoping Trucklite aimed to blow their own lights out of the water with these new ones!
What do you think of the new Holley/Morimoto headlights? They are DOT approved and you can run all 4 at once with high or low beams. We just got them in stock last week, so I haven't been able to install on a car yet but in the shop they seem to do better at putting light further down the road than the Morimoto XB (I have those on a Trans Am, work great within 3-5 car links in front of you). They are slightly less than the Morimoto XB lights and look more 80s like. 1982-92 Camaro Holley/Morimoto Retrobright Headlights (screamingchicken.com)
low beam on the left projector light and high beam led on the right before on the right and after on the left. Notice the lighting pattern so it doesn't blind oncoming drivers
The Morimoto, United Pacific and Holley headlights also a lighting pattern that doesn't blind oncoming cars. I've been using the United Pacific headlights with LED bulbs in my car for about 4 years and haven't had anyone flash me or similar. The Morimoto and Holley have a more defined pattern like your example.
good to know . I got mine a while ago and can't remember the brand name
Looks like the Star brand HID projectors. Headlight Revolution used to offer them early in the 20teens, but I think they've been discontinued for quite a while now. Chris at HR liked them a lot, but due to their size and shape, their fitment wasn't very universal. But definitely a good look for a Camaro.
Most of the newer lights nowadays have a flat lens and are LED instead of HID. The flat lens makes them easier to install for more applications. Your current lights have good output. Below are two of the headlights we sell currently for example, plug in wiring and a flat lens for an easier install.
I was going to purchase (2) of the Holley pieces for my car during the November sale, but they didn't have any in stock. No worries, I'll get 'em later. Car is about to be down for awhile for the LS swap anyhow. To ME....the appearance of the Holley/Retrobright is a game changer. I just think the others all look silly. All that being said though, assuming your lights are safe for other drivers, they're ALL good enough. I've posted many times through the years about how our halogen lights really aren't that bad assuming the system is working properly. The other side of that coin is that the modern lights are simply better. Again, assuming the beam is safe for oncoming traffic, I really don't think there's a bad choice amongst the quality brands.

We currently have one set in stock with more on order. Looks like more won't be available until sometime in January. People really seem to be interested in them based on their appearance. I'm going to install a set on my car to test them as soon as I can get more of them.

I appreciate it, but I'm gonna hold off for now. I've got you bookmarked though for a few different products. I'll reach out when the time comes.
