I know it was closed but I actually have a helpful idea for the guy. They do sell these blanket that emitt a low electrical charge that when the cats or animals jump on the car will give them a shock. My friend's mom has one for her Eclipse Spyder that stays in the garage.

what kind of shock are we talking about just a small one our when you walk outside you smell something funny? Might be a good investment.

I would get one if it was a light shock like from one of those dog collers. And if it was cheep enough. I have had all of my cars scratched from cats. I personally don't like cats but I wouldn't want to hurt them. I have tons of cats in my neighborhood and not enough room to put my car in my garrage. I will probably try the stuffed animal thing anyways and see if it works.

Ok, you have helpful advice for him, so instead of creating another pointless post that clutters this place up even more and will get locked, why not PM him or e-mail him?

no lack of content:keeping our cars looking the absolutly best they can look is very important to 99.999% of us and nobody likes a cat scratching up their paint with dirt on their paws or with their claws. If they were to wipe their little foots on a mat before they got on my car and they didn't have claws I wouldn't care in the least bit if they stayed on there untill I drove down the road and I would buy a special rug to put in front of my car for them to wipe their paws. But that isn't the case.

You know you're right I had thought of that right after I posted it. But you know something, it pertains to I'm sure than more than just one person, so I figured it's still good to let others know. And it's a low shock, nothing that would kill a cat, don't you think animal rights people have checked it out to make sure it's ok. I'm not sure where you can get it. I'll see my friend this weekend and I'll try and find out.

Like I said before. Tape the cat to the roof. Take him for a ride. Mudding preferbly, and they will never even look at you car again.

aaaaaaahahah the evil...........

Actually, I'd never heard of those blankets, so this is useful information for some of us. If he'd PM'd, I'd still never have heard of them. Mark, do you have any idea where they can be found?

thanks for the info mark, if you remember im the guy with the cat problem. my cats have laid claim to a few new scratches on my car, but they are just surface scratches in the clear and nothing too serious. come spring i will have it all buffed out and possibly wetsanded. as of now i bought a huge car cover designed for a 70's caprice, it drapes over my car nicely and attaches well to the bottom. i dont mind the cats sleeping on there much anymore, but i dont have many options, i actually like and take care of the cats and i cant blame them for going to my super warm car on cold nights. if only i could tell them to sleep underneath the engine, its just as warm down there

Thanks for all the reply's. For all the cat lovers, we are just j/k about shooting them or whatever....I think. I would be interested in the blanket that emits a small shock. Until then I'll try the stuffed animal idea. Thanks again guys.

It's cool.

As far as cats in the engine compartment. I guess that explains why my friend at work one day pulled a cat out from under a lady's engine compartment. Somehow it was still livin.
